    Retire Osgood's #30?

FYI, at the moment, Ozzie's SV% this year is .905 Edit: .908 now at the end of the 2nd period.

Haha, Chico Resch. He almost sounds like a parent or something with his, "It's not like the Devils are playing bad" Oh by the way, Wings score 3-0!

Any way we can send Hudler down to GR to give him some confidence? I'd rather see Draper out there.

Me too. No complaints so far. Typical pro Devils comments, but nothing to over the top, just what's normally expected.

Ozzie looks on tonight. A good start is always a key for him...

Brodeur was horrible on that angle on the Cleary shot! You could almost see Cleary was gonna score a second or two before he even fired it.

    Retire Osgood's #30?

I don't know man, I know Zetterberg had 24 pts in 23 games, but Ozzie had a 2.01 GAA and a .926 SV%. The sad thing is, we'll never know...

Right it's all opinion. It's just like the greatest player off all time debate. I think it's 1) Orr, 2) Howe, and 3) Gretzky. However, I always say, I understand if someone has them ranked in another order. That's the order of who I'd want on my team.

I'm looking forward to Ozzie tonight getting one win closer to #400.

Thanks, I don't have surround sound, but I'll remember that when/if I do.

Yea crazy eh? That's the thing that bothers me the most about losing in 2009, Ozzie missed out on a lot. It's a perfect example of how it's a team game. Wow! Orr in my opinion is the greatest player of all-time.

Healy is one of the Canadian guys I like. On the to man men penalty tonight called against Montreal, the idiot with Jim Hughson said that was a very questionable call (cheering for the Canadian team). Healy told it like it was and said Montreal had 7 guys on the ice.

    Mickey Redmond and Ken Daniels

Since, for some reason, I've been getting NHL Center Ice for free this year, I've been able to watch/listen to Ken and Mickey more. I think they're excellent! I have this thing about color commentators over analyzing and talking to much. Mickey seems to be a perfect color guy, he says what needs to be said and that's it. Both Ken and Mick don't seem to take themselves to serious, which I think makes their play by play and commentary more enjoyable. 90% of people that watch hockey know as much as the guys on TV anyway, so over analyzing isn't necessary, and mostly is annoying. Most Canadian hockey broadcasts and broadcasters drive me nuts! First of all, they cheer lead for the Canadian teams, and they think since they're Canadian and it's Hockey they know everything. The color commentary, and even the play by play, on a Canadian channel is too way over the top. The analysis doesn't stop. After a few stops in the play it's, "Please just shut up!" Pierre McGuire is the perfect example of this, and there is more in this country. I wish there was a way you can watch games without the play by play guys. I know what's going on, and I'm more interested in hearing the music they play at the arenas and the crowd noise.

#5 will be retired, no question. Lidstrom arguably could be the second best blueliner of all time.

    Retire Osgood's #30?

If we won Game 7 of the 2009 Final, Ozzie would have won the Conn Smythe, and there would be a good argument that his number should be retired. I think a 2009 Cup would have been that important to his career, putting him at the next level as a goalie. With that said, no I don't think Ozzie's #30 should be retired, but he, no doubt in my mind, should be in the Hall of Fame.

    Darren Pang's freudian slip

Haha, nice one Panger! Pang has no reason to apologize, he didn't do anything wrong, just a slip of the tongue.

Tough one, but great goaltending by Nashville, gotta give them credit. I guess we were due for a few loses. Something to work on for Friday and Saturday.

I think someone on the Ducks, I'm thinking either Getzlaf or Perry, needs to quote Pedro Martinez back in 2004 when he called the Yankees his Daddy. Edit: And I quote, "I just tip my hat and call the Yankees my daddy."

Man, I'm convinced Datsyuk sees things in slow motion out there.
