Oh you can bet Burke will say something, and I'll laugh like when I heard him talking about getting Nash, Tavares, Richards, Thornton, Marleau, etc. on the Leafs. Seriously who or what do the Leafs have they can trade to Calgary for Iginla without killing their long term plans for another 5 years? They don't have a first round pick until 2012. The Flames would want Schenn and Kadri.
-
I would be shocked if the Flames trade Iginla.

I just hope they didn't get workout tips from Clemens and Bonds.

Wouldn't fans banging on the glass be considered a safety issue? What if a fan is banging on the glass in the corner, and then a player gets hit in the same corner hurting or possibly injuring the fan who's to close to the boards? The injured fan could file a law suit suing the team maybe? I really don't have a problem with fans banging on the glass, but it's just a thought so the team doesn't get sued.

Wow just got home and checked the box score! That would have been a crazy 3rd period to watch. That kills Halak's SV%, nice job Wings!

Don't pretend you don't like it puffy.

Yea the Lebda complaining in Toronto has started. They were talking about him and his turnovers today on the FAN590.

I think fans should make the team accountable to them. If they don't win, they shouldn't go, I think it's that simple. Teams in the same city should be in a position where they are competing against each other for the fans, and being on the front page of the paper. Unfortunately for Toronto, I think they have two major problems they can't get out of. 1) they haven't had a winner since the Blue Jays in 1993, and 2) there's to much corporate money in Toronto, and it's the corporations they buy all the Leaf tickets.

As someone who lives in one of the west Toronto 'burbs, I have enjoyed the post lockout playoffs. I haven't had to deal with any loud mouth Leafs fans in April-May since 2004. My Leaf fan friends don't want to talk playoffs, and that's fine with me.

I've never had a problem with people waiving to the camera at The Joe. I actually find it funny.

Campbell calls (likely Savard) "Fake Artist" in email
Barrie replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
I agree. If this was MLB, NBA, or NFL, the League would hold a press conference within an hour or two after these e-mails became public to apologize, and Campbell would be out the door. More proof, the NHL is by far the worst run League in North American sports. -
LOL, isn't America, and Canada, great?

I think that e-mail answers the question why the NHL can't get head shots, cheap shots, and thugs out of the game... -
I just saw that. I was wondering if the video was enlarged the string pulling the net can be seen. Speaking of commercials, I like the Call of Duty (heheheheh I just said duty) Black Ops Commercial with Kobe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB1JQ_tfbHM

Bettman did the editing. I wouldn't be surprised if it's real, however I was wondering if it's a lighter net made just for the commercial.

In less than a month, they are now only 1 point out of 13th...

7 losses in a row now for the Leafs... More fun radio tomorrow on the FAN590!
-
What network are you watching it on? I got TSN.

Leafs score finally. I heard they broke a 144 minute scoreless streak. Edit: 142:44 to be exact.

8:00 left in the Leafs-Panthers game, 3-0 Panthers. When was the last time the Leafs scored a goal? ouch, 4-0 Panthers
-
Leafs look like their gonna lose again...
-
Leafs lose again. No surprise, I picked them for last in the conference, but this is getting really ugly in Toronto. They really aren't showing any signs of turning things around. Edit: Man that Kessel trade looks worse and worse every day! Boston's going to get another top 2 pick and will win the Cup within the next 3 years.

Obviously a Pens/Cindy fan likes Bettman, he handed them the Stanley Cup with a bow on it. MLB won't be interested in Bettman, even the small market teams are happy with the current CBA. Also in the last decade, MLB has had the most parity in the 4 major sports. Add to that since the early 90's every team except 2, KC and Montreal/Washington, has made the playoffs at least once, in a League that allows the least amount of teams in the post season.

I haven't watched the NHL All-Star game in 10 years, so whatever. I won't lose any sleep over some changes.
