Bettman will continue to screw with the game, and Crosby will continue to be marketed to death, infuriating the fans even more.

I can't stand the TSN panel, but I won't argue their pick. We'll just see what Bettman (who wants a different winner every year) and the refs try to do to us this year so we don't win.

I think one of the goals sometimes when putting people on waivers is to keep it quiet from the other teams.

Did those morons in Toronto give their team a standing ovation for beating Grand Rapids? I watched about 5 minutes of it, but when I noticed all the big boys from Motown stayed home, I turned the channel. Good move by Babs for letting the Griffins make the trip, and giving the Wings a rest. Cool story. I was in Toronto today for the Saskatchewan Roughriders @ the Toronto Argos in the Canadian Football League, Riders won 27-16 . We took the Go Train to the game (the commuter train to downtown Toronto), when the football game ended (about 6:00ish), Toronto's Union Station was filled with Wings jerseys. I said "Go Wings" about 20 times to Wings fans while waiting for the train home.

I'm wondering if Eklund was sleeping when the Leafs and Bruins made their trades? He must think the Kessel trade didn't happen, the Leafs drafted Seguin, Rask is the starting goalie for the Leafs, and Sundin is still playing with that prediction. Boston is going to win the division, and the Leafs will be at the bottom, and I don't think there's much of a debate. Buffalo and Miller may make it interesting, but Boston easily is the best of those 5. A realistic and sober prediction would be: Boston Buffalo Montreal Ottawa Toronto I checked the rosters of the Eastern Conference, the Leafs are by far the worst of the 15, and they look worse then what I originally thought. Add to that there's no help on the way or a young stud player on the team who can drastically improve. Anyone who seriously thinks the Leafs can make the playoffs, or even finish anywhere but the bottom of the Conference is on crack. Right, at worst the Wings will finish 4th in the West.

How are the Leafs going to go from 29th in the League to 2nd in their division in one year without adding anyone significant and a 1st round draft pick? Plus all the teams around them in the standings got better. The only team the Leafs have a chance of finishing ahead of in the entire league is Florida.

I think when it's all said and done, after the next CBA, there will be a Luxury Tax. I don't think the current system can go on much longer without bankrupting 1/3 of the league within the next 5 years or less. If the NHL wants to continue with 30 teams they have to get rid of the Floor.

My Uncle found the deal of the year at a garage sale, an official Reebok blank home Wings jersey, fight strap and all, and gave it to me for a belated birthday or early Christmas present. I doesn't really matter what for, because it's a sweeeet gift! I already have an Yzerman, Shanahan, and McCarty jersey, and have an idea who I want to get on this new one, but it's always a tough decision. For fun, I want to see who you all think I should get. I like all the Wings, but on the current roster, I'd get one of these 5, so there's no "Other" choice in the voting. After you vote though, feel free to post someone other than these 5.

Yes I've heard this argument about the CBA. I too like seeing the young players, but it is sad to see players who can still contribute, and done a lot of good for teams, forced out of the game, or sign two way contracts.

Bettman and Crosby I remember too when McCarty signed on with the Flames, one of the Flames players said, "We won't rub it in that we beat him last year". I thought huh? DMac, a 3 time Stanley Cup Champion at the time, is being brought in to show you guys how to win. Idiots!

I don't hate the Avs anymore. The hit on Draper has been avenged, Lemieux will forever be known as (1) a turtle and (2) a wuss when confronted by someone his own size, and we won the rivalry with the 7-0 win in 2002. It's old news with the Avs.

The team I hate most is Calgary. I get the most satisfaction beating them over any other team in the NHL, especially when we win in Calgary. Despite beating them in the playoffs in 2007, for some reason I've never gotten over them trapping, gooning, cheapshoting us, and being poor sports in 2004. That entire playoffs the Flames were goons, cheapshot artists, and poor sports. Even in 2007, Iginla butt ended Schneider, then McLennan's two hander on Franzen. Iginla has this aww shucks way about him in the dressing room with the media, but I think has one of the worst tempers in the League. He seems to get a free pass in Canada because he plays for a Canadian team. 2nd is Pittsburgh.

Yup despite a couple bad seasons, Ozzie is #2 all time in Red Wings regular season wins, and #1 in the playoffs. Ozzie is da man!

I like it when athletes wear team logos from other sports, they wear ones from the city they play in. Z is one of a few Wings I've seen wear a Tigers hat.

No worries. I think $80 is high, but apparently it goes to Toronto and it's officially done by people who do NHL jerseys, so the name and numbers are the correct size. I guess saying that they can charge more.

Most sports stores do it, and mine cost $80. Usually it's more or less based on the amount of letters in the name and amount of numbers. HOLMSTROM 96 on the back and the two 96's on the sleeves isn't cheap!
