Agreed. I don't think as a VP Yzerman was doing a whole lot during the day. The same thing happened to Howe after he retired, the organization made him a VP, but he sat around bored most of the time and only was asked to make public appearances for the team. Yzerman going to TB is the right move for everyone. Plus I'm sure Stevie will be back when Kenny retires. That made me laugh Drake!

As big a Yzerman fan as I am, it's a no brainer to sign Holland long term and let Yzerman take a GM job somewhere else.

Right, it was NBC who had the NHL play back to back nights for last year's first two games of the final. Bettman tires to take the credit saying they pitched the idea to NBC. I remember hearing for the NHL to have the Saturday night time slot, they also had to take Sunday's as well because of another show on NBC that Monday night.

Agreed, the Leafs are a mess. The Kessel trade has set the organization back another 5 years. Now I'm hearing rumors here that Burke is interested in adding Marleau and Thornton? Two of the biggest choke artists in sports history? What a joke! After watching the Flyers-Canadiens series, the 7th and 8th seeds, you can see how far away the Leafs are from even making the playoffs. It completely boggles my mind Burke traded all those picks to Boston, after seeing how quickly teams can become contenders (Pittsburgh and Chicago) in a Salary Cap era. Burke doesn't have a clue here, and he's in way over his head! Edit: I guess to answer the question, I have no idea what I'd do if I was Burke, now. First of all I wouldn't have traded for Kessel. I would have completely bottomed out, drafted Taylor Hall, and gone from there.

I think a Wings-Hawks series would have been closer and more exciting. Honestly though, I think the Hawks would have won in about 6 or 7 games.
