My concern is the wings do nothing at all like they have the Past few seasons. There's no doubt wings regular season is always top notch always in play to win the presidents troPh. However come playoffs teams have us figured out. Ask San Jose. I think we have to land a scorer for one of our top two lines. teams that focus on dats and Hank will play for it. Holland hasn't done much and kept the team the same the last three seasons and we've been bounced by San jOse twice. Lost the cup to the pens. Let's try and snag a semin,parise someone.

Redwingcentral is nice as far getting info on our youth no doubt. I like hockey's future cause I like to look at other teams prospects as well. Example the young Russian kid for the caps is gonna be special when he makes his NHL debut .

Erickson has been great this year? are you serious ? have you actually watched him in his last 2 years? he was horrible!!! he with rafalski they both made so many mistakes in the playoffs and are the reason why our team defense was poor in the regular season and playoffs! bogosian would be a steal. anytime detroit drafts high picks they have a 3 to 4 year window before they make the jump to the nhl. kindl could be good and is a project. wings problem is defense and speed. when u have slow skating fowards like hudler,holmstrom to name a few with a weaker defense that is growing older and getting more sloppy. somethings gotta change. bogosian is young has size and is upgrade over erickson. rafalski is past his prime and its apparent his 6 million dollar cap hit is not helping the wings. free up cap address ur needs get younger with speed. id make this deal happen. problem is there are other teams interested in zac. the new york rangers is one team.

wings will be ok. when nick retires other guys will step in. kronvall,stuart with kindl, b smith are our future. so no we shouldnt trade our youth unless its an older vet. not sure the kings would ever trade doughty tho. its not to often a franchise d man comes around. the only way we land a guy like him is thru a trade assuming he doesnt wanna re sign with the kings and the kings are left with no choice but to move him at the deadline. that wont ever happen tho. i think we will save our money thats freed up when nick retires and use it on getting a couple players here.

i would love carey price here. we have a future goalie playing down in grand rapids. thomas mccullem. disregard the typo. wings did draft him in the first rd. if the wings are drafting goalies in the first rd then he has to have promise. most goalies take a few yrs to show up at the nhl level. so be patient kids. osgood and his salery will be gone next yr.

it pains me to say this. but wings have gotten older and the younger teams have appeared to have caught the wings. example, the coyotes who gave the wings fits and at times in the series outplayed em. all these free agents, one guy would of been a perfect fit and could of helped out the team and our weakness as we grow older more next season. afinoginov. speed something the wings lack badly! its literally drives me crazy that we re sign guys like bertuzzi and holmstrom who are slow as molases. holmstrom yes scores in the regular season but its apparent come playoffs the ref swallow their whistles and actually penalize him for his aggressivness in front of net. Its a shame we spent all this money on our own instead of adding some younger speedy talent to help our needs. maxim with datsyuk would of been a scary line. hank with franzen more goalies would of been going bald from pulling there hair out from being torched on a nightly basis. Too bad we have less then 2 million to spend and its going on modano whos 40.

would love to add colby. its too bad we wasted a few mill for holmstrom who played poorly in the playoffs the last 2 yrs. we could of used more speed to add to our third and fourth lines with adding lombardi and armstrong

yea frazen stays out of the penalty box! not to mention frazens play hasnt deminshed. holmstroms slow. the first two picks were what the needed. go to hockeysfuture.com look at our talent. after seeing how holmer played in the playoffs with his ablity to score 4 goals and rack almost all of the wings penaltys only to see us get scored on and kill us. trade him to tampa for a bag of pucks. we can replace him with speed since he is a pilon/.

sign 3 guys and watch us get back to the cup. frolov,volchenkov and lombardi. all are in their mid 20s young. frolov on a line with datsyuk is deadly. lombardi to boost up our third or fourth line which lacked in scoring this yrs playoff. and obviously volchenkov if nick retires. let holmstrom slow skating penalty eating walk. ive always liked homer but this yr in the playoffs his silly penaltys really cost us some big goals. we need more speed and it showed vs the yotes and sharks. its obivous others teams are catching the wings puck postion ways. chicago which imulates our style along with the sharks have caught us. i think adding these three would upgrade our team speed,grit and scoring. i think holland could get a nice deal cap friendly for a guy like frolov who didnt put up numbers in la like he could here in detroit
