I'm not quite sure I understand your meaning?

Abdelkader is a talented two-way forward, gritty, plays wing and center, has good size, is a good skater. He was also ranked much higher by CSS. Latendresse is a decent scorer, good physical player, and mediocre skater at best. He's also not too good defensively. And if that all didn't pan out in Abdelkader's favor, he's from Michigan and will be playing college hockey, which means more time before he must be signed.

Millen needed to go. Mooch i can agree with because he laid the team's problems today on Harrington, even though it was the line and the defense that weren't playing well, and roy williams didn't catch a pass until the fourth quarter.
-
Two players I think of like that: Pavel Datsyuk Jaromir Jagr Neither possess blazing end to end speed but both have great quickness and agility.
-
And why don't they have Harrington in? he's a MUCH better deep passer than Garcia. Garcia is a better scrambler. The Lions need to use the long ball QB for the long passes and the short s**t scrambler for the short ones!! DAMN!
-
Franzen came over the first NHL season after his draft year. Zetterberg and Datsyuk are better examples of a player who was picked and left in his home country and jumped right on the roster.

Take out stewart and wolski. Florida isn't dealing their top prospect, and colorado has no reason to put in wolski if stewart is out of the deal because they have already thrown in tanguay and aebischer
-
So we are trading Kopecky, the closest thing to a power forward prospect we have after Grigorenko, just as he is having a breakthrough in his game?
-
Hardly a steal as he was a mid first rounder in a fairly deep first round.
-
No. That's perhaps the STUPIDEST suggestion regarding thos two teams I have EVER heard. Glad you weren't serious
-
Aebischer and Tanguay is the likely pairing. Aebischer because Florida would need a goalie. Tanguay because he is viewed by many as a 'secondary' player in the Avs system and that his numbers are inflated by his teammates. Regardless of this view, he is an exceptional young player. The Avs would also need to free up a decent chunk of salary and Tanguay would be the easiest way, as Florida won't be going for Blake (too old and expensive) or Brisebois (Florida would need a defensive defenseman, they already have Van Ryn, Bouwmeester, Krajicek, and Sean Hill as better than average offensive defensemen. If a defenseman gets included also, it will be either Liles (with Hill or someone else going the other way as well) or one of the defensive guys (Kurt Sauer, Bob Boughner, and Karlis Skrastins.)

The Lions have two major problems that prevent them from success. Number one is the lack of a capable offensive line, and the failure of Millen to address this weakness. Number two is the continued attempt to use the West Coast Offense, even though the team's personnel are much more suited to a deep passing game. Number two is obviously far easier to rectify. Change the offensive scheme to one the Lions haven't used in my lifetime, and they WILL succeed. the defense is one of the better units in the league, a truly threatening passing game combined with Jones and Schlesinger rushing? Pretty dangerous at worst, conference champions with a good run.

Why use a Hummer, when you can travel in STYLE.

I would like to call out the big 'I told you so' on Tomas Kopecky. Thank you very much.

Iowa beat Wisconsin today. Michigan slaughtered Indiana. Next weekend Michigan can clinch the Big Ten with a win and a Penn State loss. Penn State plays Michigan State, and the Spartys (5-5, 2-5) have bowl eligibility on the line. Looks good for the Wolverines.

For those of you who HAVEN'T seen this...there is a fight scene where it is basically 'Jackie w/sword driving a Lamborghini vs. a hovercraft'

1-4 against tressel. Carr is outcoached. He is going to need a national title next year or he might be out of a job too. I'm not really in favor of firing him but if he goes, who knows, it might be the right decision. Yes...because Carr's terrible 9-1 record vs top 10 teams at home and his absolutely GHASTLY 15-6 overall record vs top ten teams...oh man wht a s***ty coach. Oh, and that average season of 9-3...yeah that's the sign of possibly the worst coach ever. Ohio State was a good team that got a couple lucky breaks today at the right time, and was able to manage the clock well on their last drive. I was amused by the 'mutual respect' cards they were handing out..considering Michigan fans have always been classy fans about the rivalry, it's the OSU fans when the games are in Columbus that have been the problem...
-
All Hail Tressel! Remember the Fab Five? OSU doesn't have self-imposed postseason sanctions now do they?
-
who jinxed whom? Eva.....by starting this topic I was probably the only Michigan fan on this or any other medium I converse on that has held out Big Ten title hope all season. And My post simply said it was possible. I did not even suggest that it was likely.

Lang's personal numbers are not stellar. But look at his linemates' seasons. Shanahan is having his best year in half a decade, and Williams could go scoreless for the rest of the year and it would STILL be a career year. Take Lang away from that line, can we be sure that they would be as effective?

Why would Detroit make a trade for a goalie who has had very limited playoff success when they already have one who has a solid playoff history including a Cup win and another who is playoff untested but certainly capable?
