Yeah. Plus, he's so close to 700 goals. Hat-tricks would help. Hat tricks would help him get to 786..not 700.

Capitals reach agreement with AHL's Hershey Bears

Portland may join the ECHL if they don't become an affiliate team. That or they will continue to play in the AHL and will sign the best players available, and may become a jumping off point for derelict free agents since the WHA never happened. With 30 AHL teams and 30 NHL affiliates, that leaves precious little room for guys to try and work their way up from the UHL or ECHL if they are not a draftee, or were at one point but didn't stick. -

Heat won. Nets are going to be dismantled...Kidd will be traded for Delfino after the playoffs and will stock the defending champion Pistons' bench. -

And before they do say "that's his job, he gets paid to do that" I'm gonna say this: If you get injured during the course of your job, do you just sit there and keep plugging away? -

That's because the NBA doesn't like no-name champions. They don't want the big name who led the team to the championship to be Chauncey Billups or Rip Hamilton, because they aren't star power. And it certainly can't be Rasheed Wallace, he's an a**hole. And because they're more defensive players, it wasn't Big Ben or Tayshaun. Maybe if McDyess was a starter, we would have someone the league could tolerate leading us to the championship? -
Well yeah...McCarty puts just as much emotion into his goal celebrations as the big name scorers....over the course of a season. And since Mac only scores monthly as opposed to weekly...so his celebrations are four to five times as power packed!

Tolsa is supposed to be one of the better defensive forwards in Sweden. I've been waiting for him to catch up with an offensive game.

uh Dipietro kinda has bub. He's been doing pretty damn good for backstopping such a sh*thole team. And Miller hasn't really been given much of a shot....more of head games. They've treated him as the "you'll be the starter soon" on one hand and "you're third string, get back in the minors" on the other. But the way Miller's playing in the AHL this year...they don't really have much of a choice when the NHL comes back.

Those grades are based on how well they performed...but they are a grade compared to how well they were EXPECTED to perform. Which kinda makes Kronwall's A- a bit confusing...what did they expect, MVP? Almost any time you see grades like this, they're outcome vs expected performance. Back in 2001, I remember seeing grades on Detroit's defense for the first half in the newpaper. It was something like this: Steve Duchesne A- Larry Murphy B+ Todd Gill B Aaron Ward B- Nicklas Lidstrom C+ Lidstrom won the Norris that season, and started the All-Star game (deservedly) I would have a hard time believing that he was having such an average first half and suddenly out of nowhere has a massively awesome second half which doesn't affect his fellow blueliners.

Yeah...I've always thought of Oulahen like Draper.. Shanahan isn't so much the defensive forward and doesn't really kill penalties. I'm still kinda sad we didn't end up with Steve Weiss(erman)

Playing on an HV-71 team that's NHLer free in a league full of NHL stars didn't help last season.

Yzerman is due. He hasn't had one in like 6 or 7 years. He's still tied with Howe at 18. I'm waiting.
