OH MAN! I was on the NHL site RIGHT before coming here and it said Anaheim won the series 4-2.... Way to give me a heart attack!

I have to say, I didn't think Sammy looked half bad today! I can't help but imagine what he would have played like if he had stayed healthy!

I still can't swallow the fact that Webber (sp?) wasn't suspended by Shanny after ramming Zata's head into the boards with TWO hands!

I for one am still satisfied with the way the team played their past 3 games! Let's be honest they dictated the play against Calgary and vancouver. If they keep working hard like that they will get the breaks and the puck will go in. Keep positive!

They can dominate yes, but it just sucks knowing these guys are not getting the help they deserve on most nights (although that might be less true recently), and that they are indeed NOT getting any younger.. I'm about to hit 30 myself (Ughhh ) and I realize I need a little longer recovery time after a game or workout!

Simon, come on! Stay positive... Things have been harsh, but last night, those 2 fluke goals were just that! The wings attacked fiercely. On another night most of their scoring chances would have gone in! Who knows what would have happened if that shorthanded goal hadn't gone in, maybe the Wings would have capitalized on the PP!

Wings now in 9th. Still a game in hand on CLB. Still on pace to make playoffs if they get 3 or 4 more wins

Franzen was given that contract after 2 SUBLIME post-seasons! I'm pretty sure a lot of people here would have chosen Franzen over Hossa, especially with Hossa only playing game 3's!

It would seem a lot of people forget that the Wings lost Hudler to free agency.. He scored 25 goals last season! That's 25 goals the Wings are dearly missing: Sammy's barely played and Brunner is basically a rookie, so it can't be expected of him to light it up consistently... Also, Bert and Helm's injuries have completely destroyed the balance that would have helped the Wings's 2 first lines play together on a regular basis.. Finally, it needs to be said that Suter and Parise didn't pick Minnesota over Detroit.. They just went where they were offered more money. I would have hated to see the Wings jeopardize their economic future by giving 13M to those 2....

How did Franzen get hurt?

Hopefully he signs and some players add Detroitnto their 'no-trade-waving' list!

For sure, with what the Pens gave away for Iginla, the prices will be ridiculous for aquiring teams this trade deadline

The fact is, even if Helm and Bert come back, it would be at least in 2 weeks... And there will be like 7-8 games left? Not enough to get timing back, to get back in shape, especially considering they haven't even started to skate yet! I am sorry to say this team will need a few trades to get going into the playoffs, but who will be sacrificed???

I have to agree with him on this one (wow I just threw up in my mouth a little bit)... The fact is you can really get injured or injure the other player like that. He just crumbled onto the ice, while Yzerman at least stayed on his skates!
