Losing Yzerman (and Shanny at the same time) was a big blow to the team, but they had players who stepped up the following season, and they were eventually beaten by the Stanley Cup champs (Ducks).. But losing Lidstrom, especially considering how well he's still playing will undoubtedly hit the defense corps pretty hard....

This is something... Since 2003, the team eliminating the Red Wings has gone to the Stanley Cup finals and/or won the cup... This is the first year since then that it hasn't happened.

Just sucks how the Sharks were "easily" taken out by the Hawks.. Wings were in the Sharks' spot last year and it only took 5 games to beat Chicago.. Still stings!!

It's VERY HARD to root for any of the teams left... I'm from Montreal and it is DEFINITELY band-wagon town here... f*** I hate when my co-workers mention the wins even though they've never watched one single regular-season game... If the Sharks win, it's another cup for California... s***... no offense Cali!!! I just don't want Chicago to win!! I don't hate Hossa, but I hate the whole team from top to bottom.
