I hate to bring up the past but those long playoff runs the past 3 years, as well as all the Wings on olympic squads, the season starting in Sweden, and all those motherf@#$%^ injuries really "ruined" this year...... There were some great surprises, and I am very pleased with how the players battled... I'm just pissed that Pittsburgh, who's played as much hockey as the Wings in recent years (including the trips to Europe and the olympics) is bound for another long playoff run... I hate Montreal, I hate Chicago, I hate San Jose and I hate Vancouver but Pittsburgh can't repeat!!!

Speaking of Lilja.. I haven't seen him throw the body as much as he has in the past.. Maybe he's still overly cautious around physical play? I might also add that I've never watched more Wings hockey than this year (Thank you Drumnj, I man-love you), and this scares me even more now with finals coming up...

I don't mean to derail this thread... But I think it sucks that Raffi was supposed to be covering Crosby when he scored the goal.. The only reason I was rooting for USA (I'm from Montreal, and I'm the biggest Stevie Y fan) is because of Rafalski. 2nd silver medal, still something to be proud of!
