Our crappy I-AA opponent is better than your crappy I-AA opponent

So you've given up on the Toews thing then?
-
So apparently her IQ is so low that it wrapped all the way around the spectrum and is threatening to drop into the highest regions? Kinda like if you go far enough west you end up on the East Coast? Seriously man. You might wanna provide a link for that one. Just sayin'.

OK. Great. Like I said - let's hear ideas then. The idea that we want younger, faster, grittier players that aren't afraid to drop the gloves and hell, they can score some too.....that's an idea that's not only as old as hockey itself, but common to all 30 teams and every single fan of those 30 teams besides. It's hardly original. If you can find a player of that sort that some team somewhere is willing to give up, please, tell us. The perfect player doesn't exist, so don't be too shocked if someone tells you why an idea won't work. If Toews is a franchise player, what makes you think Chicago will take an overpriced bum and a random prospect for him? Don't you think they'd want a franchise player in return?

Should have. We should have made a trade. We should've done this and we should do that. As usual, not a single actual idea. Just a bunch of abstract wishing on gumdrop rainbows. Who should we trade for that top-5 draft pick? Who should that young gritty guy be? Does he exist? You tell me. Real easy for you to sit back and say we should do this and we should do that and criticize the hell out of Holland when he doesn't, and yet not one single actual idea.

In the highly unlikely event she jumped into my bed and screamed "Take me, I'm yours!" then no, she would not find herself sleeping on the floor And I'm in almost total agreement with HTRW - she must not speak unless it's to ask if I would like a beer. (Yes, I would.) Outside of that improbable arrangement, I believe I'd leave her alone. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit in the looks department for someone who doesn't singlehandedly lower the national IQ by several points. As an ambassador for the NHL, not only no but hell no.

:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: Her brain looks retarded when she talks.

I hate when I-A teams play I-AA teams. The hell. At least Appalachian State is the I-AA national champs. I see some brilliant comments on the freep forums though: What a tool.

I'm not really letting go. A game with the Avs doesn't mean what it used to, but I still take a vengeful delight in watching them miss the playoffs.

New York Daily News says Schneider is available?

The New York papers, especially ones not named the Times, are famous for coveting other teams' players or coaches and starting rumors to the effect that they're available. -
OFFICIAL: Forsberg traded to Predators

Yes, I would love for Holland to display the "sack" to trade away our best prospects from a system that's mediocre at best. Holland should have had the "sack" to undo several years of work rebuilding a system depleted by years of success resulting in very low draft picks, and brought about by trading half those draft picks and prospects to bring in veterans for a Cup run. Should have had the "sack" to acquire an injury-riddled shadow of a former superstar and ruin the upcoming draft in the process. Give me a *%&$ing break. We could watch Hudler break the 20 goal mark next year in a Flyers uniform, and watch Kindl be a Calder candidate wearing orange and black. And no draft picks this year worth a damn. We'd be OK, because we'd have made it all the way to the second round before Forsberg's ankle gave out and he retired on the spot. That'd all be fine, 'cause Kenny would have displayed some real "sack". Go go Kenny!! -

Nice. If that's true, holding back from that deal was a no-brainer. That should put to rest all the "wuts kenny doing?!?!?!!?11" talk. -

Jordin Tootoo wears #22. Guess what number Clod wore..... -
Don't get me started Winnipeg is the best choice for a Canadian location. In my opinion, it comes behind (in no particular order) Seattle, Houston, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Portland, and perhaps Cleveland and San Diego as a good location overall. So if the league were to expand to 36 teams....ok, maybe then we should consider Winnipeg

Well, the world order doesn't get turned upside down. Forsberg is on a rival where he belongs and I can go back to making fun of his dives. P.S. Anyone who thinks Holland should have outbid that package is nuts. -
Well, I named 9 teams, and you say roughly half of those are in the bottom half of attendance. Since by definition, 50% of teams must be in the bottom half, I'd say that doesn't tell me anything at all. You realize that Vancouver lost their basketball team but their hockey team is as strong as ever, right? The Sonics play in the oldest and smallest arena in the NBA. Yes, Key Arena is older than even Madison Square Garden. They're a crappy team and they draw 93% capacity. That article mentioned an NHL team as a potential partner in a new arena, so you wouldn't have to worry about Key Arena holding back the team. I disagree about the hockey buzz. Up here in Everett there's a reasonable amount of Silvertips support. I definitely hear more about the Silvertips and even the Thunderbirds than I ever did in Norfolk about the Admirals of the AHL. You want to see zero hockey buzz, check out Norfolk.

The Kings and Ducks don't seem to mind. Nor do the Devils and Flyers. Or the Rangers, Devils, and Islanders. Or the Leafs and Sabres. Or the Flyers and Capitals. All of which are closer to one another than Seattle and Vancouver.
-
Why? I think KC's credentials are just as good as Seattle's. Vegas is a special case and a whole separate topic worthy of discussion, but if you're gonna say no because it's in the desert, you need to re-evaluate.
-
*sigh* yes, unfortunately. Oh give it a rest. If you think frickin' Hamilton's a better place for a team than Seattle you need your head examined.
-
Crosby could end up with over 100 assists this season. Do you really think Hank is playing THAT well?
-
Yeah, I seem to remember last year's dads' trip being a pretty solid disaster for the Wings, results-wise.

"We need toughness" is hardly news, we didn't need the Leaf fans to tell us that. Sounds like this particular Leafs fan is happy with the Leafs losing. Sounds good to me.
