Last year all anyone could talk about in the media was how the Joe wasn't ever sold out in the playoffs and how it was morbidly quiet. Guess what, everyone, there hasn't been an unsold seat at the Joe for the whole playoffs - seven games worth. The economy is even worse than it was last year and people are showing up in droves, and throwing in a nice little PRONGER SUCKS chant for good measure. Sellouts for the whole playoffs - Anaheim can't say that. St. Lousy can't say that. Those bandwagon-ass cats in ESPN's gift to God and sports (Boston) can't even say that. No sellout for Game 7 against Carolina, or any other game for that matter. Seven sellouts, and unlike Chicago (did you see how many people jumped to their feet when we scored in Game 5?) we don't need help. You're supposed to sell out in the playoffs, so naturally you won't hear a peep from the same media types who last year tried to put the Hockeytown moniker up for bid. Don't care - give yourselves a pat on the back, Wings fans. WE ARE HOCKEYTOWN!

This should settle it: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/boxscore?gameId=281011027 http://starsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2...isconducts.html No points for guessing who, of all players, pulled this off.
-
It doesn't say in the rules whether or not you can get two in a game, but let's say you were the third man in a fight and then spit on someone (both are specifically mentioned in the rules as game misconducts.) I don't see why they wouldn't give you two, when you did two things to earn it.

You don't remember him pissing and moaning about the refs calling too many men against his team, and acting like somehow the game situation should have allowed him to put six skaters out there with no consequence?
-
Mainly just talked entirely too much s*** at the refs. Nothing physical, just a lot of mouth-flapping.

Who else sheds a tear when Mule snipes a corner?

Cristobal Huet, apparently. -
Quenneville's best asset is his mustache, and he's still only #2 in that category among coaches in this series. Actually I don't think he's such a bad coach, not even in the playoffs. It's the Wings specifically that have his number something fierce.
-
I'm not altogether convinced Hudler is actually the 5'9" they list him as .... it's possible they told him to leave his shoes on when it came time to break out the tape measure.
-
Not at all. Even if the Hawks lose the next game they will have gone farther than people felt they should have this year, and the GM isn't going to be fired when the general feeling will probably be that they're just a hair shy of the Cup Finals.
-
Didn't Versteeg try to challenge Hudler to a fight? real tough guy, pick the shortest guy you can find and challenge him. Now that is gutless.

WCF GAME 4 GDT: Red Wings 6, at Blackhawks 1

The Ducks are actually good at gooning it up. They know how and when to do it for maximum effect, and how to get away with it. The Blackhawks didn't even do a good job at that. -

It shows the difference between the Wings and Blackhawks. The Hawks don't have the confidence that they can come back from three down. The Wings do. Versteeg showed it loud and clear by taking two straight insanely stupid penalties, one of which resulted in the Wings' 5th goal. If he's gonna play the goon that early, and if the rest of his team follows suit, they clearly don't have confidence they can make up a deficit on the Wings. -

Q's just mad his team wasn't allowed to goon it up. I have a better idea: teach a little composure to the kiddies. -

I sort of doubt this dehydration thing. I think it's more along the lines of, Babs didn't want to give the Hawks any bulletin board stuff by admitting that he thought they had no chance at all to win the game with a whole period left. -

No indication of an injury. Smart coaching by Babs if that's the case. No need to get Ozzie hurt when it's clear the Hawks are gonna goon it up 100% in the third, and it's smart to get Conklin some time to keep him sharp. -

Solid, solid effort. I can't decide what was better - the defensive play especially considering we didn't have either our Norris winner or our Selke winner; or the composure and discipline. Passing: excellent - it's been lacking in recent games. Defense: terrific. Brilliant game. That said, Chicago looked like 100% dog-chewed ass out there. Holy crap was that a bush league effort. I gotta give props to Chicago fans for not throwing stuff on the ice. If I was a Blackhawk fan I'd be beside myself. Huet was pure s*** in net. At least two, maybe three of those goals were pillowy-soft. I think if Khabi's out there, we still win, but not in such a blowout. And no composure. Versteeg is a retard. Eager is a retard. Burish is a retard. They lost all sense of discipline, melted down, and embarrassed themselves. It'll be a shock if the Q doesn't go into that locker room and break things. -
30th, actually. Brad Keselowski was 8th, but Brian Keselowski was the one driving the Wingmobile.
-
Yeah....he's also a hypocritical, immature, whiny ***** in a Toyota. Sorry if he's your boy, but he's also the only driver I actively despise.
-
Perhaps Havlat would have been less injured if the Blackhawks would have been less interested in shoving Kronwall down to the ice on top of him and starting s*** while the guy is laying there trying to remember whether today is October or not. My biggest fear was the guy was gonna get his face stepped on. Just food for thought. Anyway, I hope the Blackhawks go out of their way to hit people today, because they don't know how to do that and still maintain their discipline.
-
Does that make what I said any less true? (Helpful hint: No.)
-
More people have died playing NHL hockey than a few of those things you mentioned.....just sayin'. Anyway, props to those who posted the youtubage proving that Campbell and the Hawks are idiots.

Yeah, let's be honest, if after the third Chi goal someone had asked me how I felt about the game going into overtime, I'd have said, "sold." -

Except for maybe coming back from down 4-0, but I'm not gonna be greedy. 'Course, we still have to get one more, at least. Don't want to get too cocky in front of the hockey gods.
