I think the team should retain the name "Red Wings" but change everything that's red on the jersey to silver, and replace the Winged Wheel logo with a Stanley Cup. The Winged Wheel can be a shoulder patch or something. That way you've got the best of both worlds: the traditionalists are happy, because what could be a more traditional representation than good ol' Lord Stanley? The merchandise sellers would be happy, of course. And we'd finally be showing off what the rest of the league already knows: the Wings are the team most often identified with the Cup, so why not make it official?

I wish his AHL success would translate to the NHL. 3 points in 16 NHL games is pretty weak. Still, Kindl hasn't even spent a year as a Wings prospect and, even with a pretty good year at Kitchener, it's surprising to see him up so high....HF does tend to put a lot of weight on players who were more recently drafted, I suppose. You'd think that a great year in the AHL would be worth more in their ratings than a great year in juniors.
