Wow....Hudler took a drop. Putting him behind Kindl is a surprise. Kopecky took a big flying leap forward. Glad to see that because Kopecky had been lousing it up for Grand Rapids until this year. Ryno's presence in the top 10 is a huge leap too.

I have nothing to say, so I'll say it AS LOUD AS I CAN!

my mom is big into scrapbooking. it's nice to have a book of memories and whatnot, but do you really need 15 different pairs of scissors to do it?

The Dallas Cowboys are getting ready to sign Terrell Owens. I can barely contain my happiness....seriously. Over the past couple years the Cowboys have been collecting every wide receiver I've ever hated, especially Keyshawn Johnson and Terry Glenn....ok, they've never signed Randy Moss or Chad Johnson, but T.O. is the absolute epitome of the a**hole wide receiver.....and now he's in the uniform of the team I hate most in all the NFL, and probably at least top 3 in all of sports. And not only that, it's the team that he first made his reputation against by showing up. He's singlehandedly destroyed two organizations and two Pro Bowl quarterbacks. The Niners are still reeling. The Eagles went from Super Bowl to super-chumps. Jeff Garcia has never been the same and Donovan McNabb is feeling the Chunky Curse. Now he's taking on the Cowboys. Drew Bledsoe is old, slow, and most importantly, thin-skinned. What's the odds on the first Parcells-Owens shouting match? Training camp, or will Owens wait til Week 2? I can't wait to see the results....with any luck, the Cowboys will be crummy and dysfunctional for the next decade thanks to T.O.'s magic powers.

wonder how my friend Brian is doing.....he was having a GREAT St. Paddy's Day until around 8 in the evening.....after that, not so great. it's a good thing we gave up trying to play darts.

I bought Center Ice. Was getting tired of constantly checking the calendar to see when the Wings would next be on ESPN.....oops, I mean OLN.

apparently just holding down the space bar does not constitute a legal post.

I heard that song yesterday and I was thinking, damn, that would be really cool to just hang out on the front porch with your granddad just tossin' back Johnnie Walker and listening to him be grouchy and cantankerous and talkin' about the old days.

it's a good day for drinking.

Turned on the WBC today just for fun, USA vs. Mexico.....I'm surprised, the stadium is sold out and the atmosphere is pretty good. I'm starting to take a real interest in the games. It's the first time I've ever seen Derek Jeter at bat and rooted for him to get a hit instead of accidentally conk his own head with his bat somehow. The only downside is it's the bottom of the 7th and USA will be eliminated if they don't score in the next two innings. Down 2-1.

Winthrop almost beat Tennessee. Rats. I hate Tennessee.

Kitna and McCown competing for the job. Ai-yi-yi. Guess we already know what we're going to hear about during training camp. Not exactly Pro Bowl material, these two, unless Martz can do something. I guess ideally, McCown would grab the starters' job with Martz teaching him a little something. If McCown were being graded on the HF grading scale, he'd be an 8.0D - he's got a lot of potential but isn't likely to ever maximize it....if he ever will, Martz would be the guy to do it. We already know Kitna's ceiling.

The Pistons' magic number for clinching the division is 2. On Friday, if the Pistons beat the Knicks and Cleveland loses to the Blazers, that wraps it up.

Don't know. Who they trade him to would depend on what they want most in the draft, though. If they really want a QB, they could "trade up" in essence by trading Harrington to a team above them in the draft order - the Jets, Raiders, Titans, etc. If the Lions are after Cutler, they could decide to trade Harrington to one of those teams for a lower pick than what the Chiefs might offer.
-
Hopefully the Lions can get something of value back for Harrington. If Culpepper went for a 2nd rounder, maybe the Raiders are willing to send us a 4th rounder.

DO NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE that'd be the best advice I've heard all week if I didn't like my paycheck.

Difference between Akili Smith and Jay Cutler is that Cutler has had a pretty good career on a lousy football team, while Smith basically had one very good senior season and that was about it.

I have come so close to getting in a wreck so many times the past couple weeks, I feel like I'm quickly using up my wreck-avoiding karma. Like just last week, I was coming up to a four-way intersection where there are three stop signs. I had no stop sign. I was turning left, because that's pretty much the only thing to do - the other two ways are a parking lot and a gate. A lady coming from my left was turning left and I cut her off....couldn't see her at all, she was in the left-turn lane behind a truck. Nearly got T-boned in the driver's side. She got all pissy, probably did not realize I had no stop sign and she had to wait til all oncoming traffic from her right side was clear. Another time I nearly got T-boned making a right turn while someone else tried to make a U-turn right in front of a No U Turn sign. And just on Monday I had to screech on my brakes to avoid rear-ending someone on the freeway (sudden slowdowns from 60 to 20 or so are really quite common on Norfolk freeways) and I could hear three or four sets of screeching brakes behind me as well. Oh, and Kat....congrats on going to college....you will have a blast, guaranteed, that is, if college across the pond is anything like it is here.

Oooooooo, a QB battle between Josh McCown and Jon Kitna. That would be soooooo worth watching. Great. It's Schaub time.....pleeeeeez. I can't blame Joey if he wants out, because here the new regime came in and said "Joey's our guy" and then they sign a guy who made it very clear he won't go somewhere to be the backup. Cutler won't slide to the Lions, he's Mr. Draft Buzz.

Lions have also signed TE Dan Campbell. I like the signing. Blocking specialist.
