I would like to see them try this. Tell Darko he's going to get a tryout: guarantee him 40 minutes against Miami. (Why Miami? Shaq.) Give him the 40 minutes and see how he does. If he sulks his way through the game, then it's back to the Human Victory Cigar and struggling to earn his minutes. If he excels, and goes out there and plays like he should, and maybe he gets abused but he doesn't back down anyway, then start to get him in more games. But only give him the one shot. I'm getting a little tired of the moping.

know what I hate? I hate posting like the 23rd or 24th post in a thread because I put all this effort into a well-thought out post and then *poof* it disappears and nobody sees it cause it goes into a new page, usually after someone posts something totally not worth even reading. posting at the bottom of a page sucks, I'm gonna try not to do it any more.

quit complaining about Detroit drivers. I miss Detroit drivers. Norfolk drivers think 55 is plenty suitable for the left lane, which usually means they're blazing by the bums in the other lanes anyways. They CANNOT merge....every time they merge somewhere they're deathly afraid of crashing so they slow down to 20. Same thing if they see the slightest drop of rain, flake of snow, or bend in the road. Don't even get me started on interchanges. I find myself cutting people off all the time cause they're not used to how a Detroit driver merges....and they're such weenies they don't even honk at me.

eh, I don't know....I think if the name is recognizable to most LGW posters, then they've made enough intelligent posts to survive. I'm not revealing who I voted for but let's just say my selection has a nasty habit of assuming his opinion is the only one that makes any sense, so you can make a perfectly reasoned and well-thought-out argument that contradicts what he thinks everyone thinks, so all you get back is something like "wow " the other problem is that all these selections use decent grammar and proper spelling most of the time.....so even if I think they're stupid-wrong, at least I respect the opinion. Agree or disagree, I find it hard to take anyone seriously who types without any thought to the actual English language. OK, so I sound like a total twerp, but that's better than a post that says "OZBAD SUX". Nobody on that list, for example, ever tried to pass "tooken" off as a real word, as in "Howard was tooken out of the game early."

i wish there were snow to hate. mark my words when I actually get to choose where I live it will be somewhere where there are four distinct seasons, and not where the four seasons are hot, still hot, not that cold, and warming up. i realize this makes me directly opposite from 95% of the population, but those people don't know what they're missing.

yes, exactly the sort of player the Wings need. Some people see large PIM numbers and "physical play" in the bylines, get all googly-eyed and all of a sudden he's just what we need.

That was the whole reason behind hiring Millen in the first place: "Here is a tough, no-nonsense guy who knows his football, will not take any crap, and will do things his way to get this team on the right track." I don't want the GM to have nads, I want him to have brains. Millen's got a sack of steel to stand up to all this criticism and do things his way and it's not helping the Lions any.

F### that. I'm a Lions fan. I don't care if it costs us a few draft slots, I want to win the game. I don't think it's possible to embarass the ownership.....57 years of futility hasn't accomplished that, why should one game of wearing orange do it? And f### Chad Johnson, if he does something to show up the Lions and embarass the fans and home team, I hope someone throws a bottle at his head. Now if he breaks out a FIRE MILLEN sign after scoring....that would be cool.

Figured I'd start this as a "how would you fix the Lions" thread and let the other one be the "wow, the Lions sure stunk it up this Sunday" thread. Anyway, my vote above is to fire Millen, but it won't matter. Coach and offensive line are the Lions' biggest needs. They need a disciplinarian coach, a new O-line up the middle, and a quarterback.
