Wonder if Osgood gets any credit for the stop after the horrible Stuart giveaway? Or was that just one of the saves he's "supposed" to make?
-
Given the play in the last three, I think he'd settle for treating it like an NHL game at all.
-
To be fair, that was an edit after the original.

You may notice a significant amount of negative posting regarding Osgood in this thread. Don't paint it as "censorship" or removal of material "just because it is negative." This isn't Communist China where nobody is allowed to criticize. You had it right earlier: it was the phrasing I didn't like, because it was inappropriate.
-
I might also point out that this site isn't "Let's Go Preds." And complaining about censorship gets you nowhere, since the site is privately owned and your posts are subject to forum guidelines. IMO, "Someone should go Tonya Harding on Osgood's knee" doesn't even resemble a constructive post.

Oh good. Another GDT devolving into an Ozzie pissing match. Shocking.
-
I think you know the answer to that question.
-
Unpossible. As has been CLEARLY proven on LGW, there is an anti-Wings bias in everything NBC does. They show our games specifically to piss us off by luring Wings fans into watching a two-and-a-half hour Crosby commercial. Everyone knows this.
-
There's no way you can pin that on Ozzie. So many opposing players in front of the net, there's no right place to be. Defensive breakdown led to that goal, plain and simple.
-
AGH Hossa got just a tad impatient with that shot. Very nice play by him and Ericsson though.

I don't want second place this season

Just hearing Doc Emrick say DRIIIIIVE!!! is enough for me to like it.

You're right. "Somebody please injure one of our own players" is a no-no. So is this post, except that I needed it to quote in order to get the point across. "Osgood sucks" and "I hope he gets hurt" are exactly the kind of posts that don't belong. And before you say it, criticism of players is not being censored, as it's perfectly acceptable to call that a dumb pass or a bad play or whatever. But it'll never be acceptable to openly wish for a career-ending injury to one of our players.

Ozzie with a Hasek moment.

Whatever Babcock said to this team over the past three days is working beautifully. I think practices since the St. Loozy game probably haven't been too fun and the Wild are suffering the consequences.

If only even half of that were true. Parker's a disgrace to the profession.

What did Parker do this time?

Raburn looks like he's on the way to some NL team or another - the Tigers are actively shopping him for some bullpen help. They could use it if Eddie Bonine, Juan Rincon, and the rookie Perry are heading north, which the News says is happening, and Zumaya's not available. I don't know about this bullpen at all.

Women -- In the Upper Tiers of Hockey?
betterREDthandead replied to Datsyerberger's topic in General
Cammi Granato played against other women. She was better in that field than Tony was at his, but the comparison is just ludicrous. I look at basketball. The gulf in athleticism between men and women is so vast that it took six years of WNBA play before a single slam dunk was ever recorded, which caused on-court celebrations, articles marking the occasion, and reflections on previous college women's dunks - the article I read heralds a certain player as having dunked three times in her college career. Meanwhile, high school boys dunk every day. That kind of gap in athleticism certainly would translate to hockey as well, and the gap is so wide that I can't help but wonder if this is more an April Fools thread than anything. The only position that's even remotely plausible is goalie. -
I've been thinking and I'm not sure what it is about the Lions that can be taken as evidence they aren't toes up already. Unless by "dead" you mean "packed up and moved to LA."

Because he runs a first-class team, his kids tend to stay there all 4 years, never a peep of scrutiny of program violations. Easily one of the top 5 coaches in college hoops. No seriously, I don't have too many bad things to say about Izzo. I have a ton of respect for him. But if you don't understand how anyone could hate him, go back in time two and a half years and read the RCMB thread on Bo Schembechler's passing and you'll learn a little bit about true hate. All the stuff you said about Izzo was true for Bo. It's why Blak admitted the bitterness of MSU football fans. He's right - you guys aren't so bitter in basketball, you're just green versions of Michigan football fans

At that size there's less Mufasa and more Scar to the new-look Bubbles.

MSU fans : "don't be bitter" :: Gordon Gekko : "don't be greedy"
