When did you see him? Last year he was top 5 by anyone's standards. He had some big wins over top heavyweights, KO'd Tampa prospect Elliot. His only loss was to Tremblay, but Tremblay is considered to be the toughest guy not in the NHL. So I stand by my comments about him being one of the ECHL's toughest.

Richards is out for 10 weeks, and Charpentier will most likely be called up when GR plays tough teams, that's if he doesn't amke the roster out of TC. He will play in GR, it's just a matter of how much.
-
No, I don't think so....this guy plays defense.
-
I wish I could post the story, check out the link to Naplesnews.com (You have to sign up) it's not offically announced by the Griffs yet but will be. He has a 2 way contract and will play when they play the rougher teams.
-
I heard he was invited to camp, but I also heard he may be playing in the UK this fall.
-
He's big and tough, perhaps the toughest in the ECHL. He's definetly top 5 toughest last year. Remember it was after the season when Greg Ireland (Coach) said his team will get bigger and meaner next year, that they would be a team everyone would hate to play against. Great signing!

I can, he seems to be a late bloomer, he can score some goals, continue to play rough he'll be fine. How many small, scrawny euro players can you have?
-
If MacDonald can prove he's over his back injury, and can play well like last year, Legace is a goner....no way you keep Manny when you can pay a guy less than half.

End of this year, right? I hope this is the last of Lebda....he sucked up the joint in Prospects Camp. Both he and Meech were supposed to be leaders and impress, being that both guys played a full season in the AHL, but both were manhandled by the larger forwards, both looked very confused and were caught making ill advised passes and giveaways in their own zone.
-
I'm not jumping on you....I only saw one game so you may be right. My only point was that it's refreshing to have a guy in camp that would fight his grandmother to make the team, and has decent enough hands to be able to score. Sure, I'd like a guy who dropped every guy he faced, but I'll take a guy who's gutsy enough to take on each and all comers. His fightcard is filled with guys who are AHL and NHL heavyweights, that's better than anything we've gotten in the last 5 yrs or so. IMHO he has potential fourth line NHL ability, my concern with him is that he sometimes has issues with authority and is not afraid to open his mouth. Having said that, maybe with maturity he'll lose that. Another plus is that he's very fan friendly, and his teammates love him

Yeah I agree.....he's had the skill but needed to add some muscle, and it seems like he's done that
-
He fought everyone he was supposed to and didn't back down from anyone. He stuck up for all his teamates. No idea what Red Wings fans expect considering what we've had the last few years.

I don't know about another 2 yrs, I thought it was for until the end of this season. He signed in 2004

Zetterberg will and should play center....If Datsyuk doesn't come back, Zetterberg should go back to center. If I was Babcock, I'd leave Fillippa in GR, he needs to adjust to the physical play still and get consistent playing time

Get to know Big Snake... http://www.robinbigsnake.com/video/index.html

They do that all the time, it's to make him Detroit property
-
If they sign Jorgensen, it doesn't mean he has to play in GR, he can go back to junior. He's only 19 yrs old, hopefully he'll replace that piece of crap Kopecky
-
He actually had 2 pts....1 goal and 1 assist. He was +3. He's playing great and showing he's deserving of a contract.

It really was! Really cool, plus the prospects walk around when they're not playing and sit in and watch the other games going on and cheer on their former teammates in junior. Very neat to see coaches chat about their players and listen to their comments about other players. Just a great atmosphere for hockey junkies, and it only costs 5 bucks a day! Highly recommended

I didn't talk to Lewis, just said hi, but I mentioned to Nill how impressive the prospects looked, and I mentioned Big Snake, he smiled and said something along the lines of "He likes to stir things up, I think we need that". Another guy to watch is Reid Jorganssen, he hits and skates hard, he also likes to stir things up. He's small, but he's got heart....I really liked Detroit's prospects....Howard was a wall!! He's going to be star, always saw the puck, communicated with his defense well, and is very acrobatic.

HI Barnesy, Yes, in the one game I saw, Kindl and Herring were impressive. Herring scored a goal and drew cheers from the crowd with his hitting, Kindl looked comfortable, made nice passes out of his zone and lookd to be responsible in his own end. Quincey looked awful, very disappointed in him, he was out of position, looked unsure and made some ill advised passes in his own zone. But it was only one game, and I heard Quincey looked much better in the last few games. I have to say it was great time though, the crowds are not big, and all the coaches go and sit in the crowd and mingle with the fans while watching their prospects. I got to talk with Jacques Lemaire and Mario Tremblay, Canadiens legends, and Holland was walking around, Dave Lewis and I chatted briefly with Jim Nill. Next year I'm going to attend the whole camp. Maybe we can have a LGW get together next year.

Hatch, I was just there on Wednesday, but he had 2 great scoring chances and played very aggresively. He was out there hitting and talking smack to every Wild player. Whenever a Wild player came near a prospect, Big Snake was there in his face. There was a buzz whnever he was out on the ice. I would be surprised if he didn't stick around in GR at least. He'll be an exciting player. His skating is good, he has some good puckhndling skills, but his best assets are his fearlessness, and willingness to drive to the net.

I saw the game against Minnesota, he killed Emmerson. Emmerson asked him to go, Big Snake accepted and away they went. The crowd went nuts and everytime he was on the ice there was a buzz in the air

I'd do that trade in 2 seconds....the 2 seconds would come from my mouth drolling and not being able to get the word "Yes, Done!" out. That's too good to be true. The only issue I see with it is Samsonov's UFA status next season, the Wings would need some assurances he wouldn't bolt.
