Same reason you think the Wings are a bunch of scared *******. I never said Homer would be dumb enough to fight Semenko. Just that he'd let Dave blow his cool and the set up again. Very likely during the ensuing PP.

I realize you like to rile up the kiddies with the hyperbole, but I have to make it abundantly clear for you that you don't know s*** about s***. Fighting isn't brave and tough. Doing what Holmstrom does night and night out is brave and tough. Playing like Yzerman played is brave and tough. Semenko could have done as he pleased, but Homer would have gotten right back up and right back at the top of the crease. For the same reason that Semenko would have tried to keep him away from the crease, because without that battle he wouldnt' be able to stay in the NHL.

Then why isn't Parros around doing any pushing and shoving? Being the biggest baddest Duck, you'd think Carlyle would want to use that to his advantage? Oh wait! Parros only played 1 game against us in '07 too. 37 playoff games by the Ducks during Parros' tenure and he only dressed for 13 of them. That doesn't seem right...

So if all the Wings are scared of Parros, why don't the Ducks dress him so our bench is sitting there quaking in their skates? Sounds like it would be a tremendous advantage...

    Cap/Pens back to back games

Arenas have other obligations than just hockey. The Sharks/Ducks had an extra gap in between a couple of their games because of Brittney Spears. The league has to fit all the games in as best they can.

    Seen Parros lately?

    Scary, Scary Stat.....

You have very little control over dreams. I sometimes have dreams about boxes. Not because I have a cardboard fetish, but because I work for UPS. Being enough of a Wing fan that you watch all the games and sign up to an online message board to discuss them, would certainly implant them enough into your subconscious that dreaming about the Wings would be possible if not likely.

    Kronwall Jumps on Hits

Not only would the hits be more effective, but as it is he's taking himself out of the play every bit as much as the guy he's hitting. If he'd stay on his feet he wouldn't have to pick himself up all the time. It takes Nik just as long to get back in the play as Bonk. Vs... Hawerchuk is sprawled out in the neutral zone and Vlad is following the play in the offensive zone.

The OFFICIAL Stuart For PP Thread

Stuart played on average 19 seconds of PP time per game during the regular season (primarily mop up seconds at the end of a PP). He was on the ice for 1 PPG for (1G). So far in the playoffs Stuart has played on average 1:45 of PP time per game. He's been on the ice for 4 PPG for (1G 2A). Sammy needs to gtfo...

    Game 3 Line Combos

    Z's is the 1st line for one. Blend the 2nd and 3rd. Hudler - Datsyuk - Holmstrom/Samuelsson Samuelsson/Holmstrom - Filppula - Hossa

    Game 3 Line Combos

Dom was pissing the series down his leg and Oz had been better all season long. You don't bust up a line that's working to fix a line that isn't. Z's line is a combined +5 and Getzlaf's line is a combined -1 through the first two games. Z's line is not the problem.

    Game 3 Line Combos

I think it's abundantly obvious which is our 1st line.

    Game 3 Line Combos

Franzen - Zetterberg - Cleary have 9 goals 12 assists for 21 points and are a combined +19 through 6 games. Break that up and you deserve to be slapped. If Pavel and Marian can't figure things out mix and match them with the 3rd line but you don't touch that top line.

    Kronwall Jumps on Hits

He jumps and more often than not simply completely takes himself out of the play because he's ass over teakettle falling over whoever it was he tried to hit. Stay on the ice and drive through the opposition and he'd hit harder and stay in the play.

    No Suspension for Brown

I never said the league had a good stance on headshots. Merely what the current "stance" is.

    No Suspension for Brown

Colin's Wheel of Justice is the most shining example thereof.

    No Suspension for Brown

Betts dumped the puck in. Same as Hudler.

    No Suspension for Brown

And yet Brown got the biggest penalty on the ice.

    No Suspension for Brown

Subtle differences is a far cry from entirely different. Glad you could hop off your hyperbole pony and join the conversation. I don't disagree with the lack of suspension. I just don't see how Brashear gets 5 if Brown, Perry, and Eager get nothing.

    No Suspension for Brown

As it currently stands the league ignores headshots unless there is something else that makes it an illegal check (charging, elbowing, interference, etc...) No one whines and cries more than you. You just do it about a bunch of irrelevent people on a message board.

    No Suspension for Brown

Believing they're entirely different is using some sort of bizarro definition of different that I've never heard of. But that's fine. Guy dumps a puck in. It's 50' away. Gets blasted in the head by a 4th line plugger. Donald is a tad bit bigger and did more than superficial damage, but that's about it.

    Ericsson Vs. Perry

Because we're the only team that saw him play as a defenseman. He was a forward when Hakan happened to see him play a game on D. His team was decimated by the flu and his coach asked him if he could cover, and being a defensive center it wasn't much of a stretch. Even after getting drafted the first time he was allowed to play D full time was when he came over to Grand Rapids. Over in Sweden he was constantly bouncing in and out of the lineup and from forward to defense and back again depending on need. That he's come this far in essentially 3 years of learning the position is amazing.

    No Suspension for Brown

Not quite. And even then Betts was the guy that dumped the puck in same as Jiri.

    Mike Brown's hit on Hudler

No camera ever focused on Brown after the hit (until he was already being escorted to the bench) but I believe the announcers said that Chelios made a beeline to Brown.

    No Suspension for Brown

You see the hit as clean because you have absolutely no sense of time. The Brown hit was later and the puck was exponentially further away. And any references to "clean" hits from days gone by are pointless. The league, at the urging of the players, are trying to remove these types of hits from the game. They sent out a memo to every team stating that blowing up the head of a vulnerable player is no longer fair game. They then suspended Brashear for 5. But then went stupid and ignored Perry and Eager and suddenly there's not standard again. Had Brashear not been suspended for 5 I would have been suprised if Brown would have seen a 1 maybe 2 game suspension as he'd already gotten tossed fairly early in game 1 (that's the reason Pronger got the boot in '07 because he got nothing in the game). But that Brashear suspension, as well as others over the last couple years, leaves you wondering about just what the f*** the league has going through their head if anything at all. As someone mentioned on a different forum, this play made Colin spin the wheel of justice and it ended up with a pass.
