Worked for Sweden at the Olympics. Plus with Nik being a good skater, he could in theory help balance Nick's less than fleet-of-footedness. Then Danny can babysit Schneider on the 2nd pairing.
-
When did Sweden become a province?
-
Pair Nick with Nik and put Markov with Schneider.
-
Not ahead of Nick, Stevie, or Sergei.

I hate you harold.....

What I find interesting is that a few years ago Bucci had serious man-love for Pavel, but that has faded to near resentment of late (playoff play induced). He does have the man-love in full force for Z now though. Note that in one of his replies to an email about what to watch for as a new fan he replies. Not enough attention is paid to the amazing skating ability of the NHL player. Watch their feet and how fast and strong they are. Watch their amazing lateral movement. Watch how they stop and go on a dime. Watch how Dion Phaneuf skates backwards. Watch how Chris Drury takes a faceoff. Watch Henrik Zetterberg do everything.

Didn't Leclair have some sort of crazy curve that bended back? I think I remember it coming up by the color guy during some games. Also Adam Oates used to cut about half the blade of his stick off.

According to the 'What it means to be a Red Wing' book, Marty called Kenny with the offer he got from Boston. Essentially crying because it was too good to pass up and knowing that the Wings wouldn't match. Apparently Kenny reassured him that he was doing the right/smart thing by taking the $20M.

From what I've seen, I lean towards less reliable. Sportsnet likes to be first, whereas TSN usually waits until they can report the correct news. That and one employs McKenzie and the other Eklund...

1. Which explains signing with Omsk in '05... Many people want to stay Wings. They can't all stay. 2. Then pay $5M. Anything beyond that is certainly not reasonable at this point. Remember that there are guys like McCabe, Jovanovski, Yashin, Theodore, etc... making STUPID amounts of money that they don't even come close to deserving. 3, The hot streak has far more to do with Zetterberg than Datsyuk. 4. You'd be wrong. Pavel has the primary assist on 7 of Z's 30 goals. A hefty chunk of Z's goals Pavel wasn't involved in the scoring at all. 5. Not Pavel. Why you ask? Because the other team KNOWS he's not a threat to shoot/score. Way too unselfish/passive for that sort of situation. He won't be traded, but those aren't the reasons why. It's way too tricky to replace his impact at this point. He's a pending UFA with a huge asking price with a shady playoff history. Right now is probably the worst time possible to trade him (2 years ago, or even this past summer would have been far better times). No team that might have interest will give up a guy that can step into the top line right now. It would be futures and they don't help in a cup run. When you compare it to his buddy's contract. He hadn't yet accomplished anything to warrant becoming the Wings' highest paid forward. He still hasn't. Z was a better all-around player then, and he still is now. Yes, Z is ridiculously underpaid, but Datsyuk is looking to more than double it. Kenny panicked and handed out $1M too much for the worst possible term (2 years leading directly to UFA). Now rather than bending the Wings over a barrel negotiating against Russian teams it will be the rest of the NHL...

Yes, enough goals. We didn't lay goose eggs in consecutive games to bow out of the playoffs and carried a 2-0 lead into the 3rd of game 6, A. Why would a non-Wing player be loyal to the Wings? Wouldn't you consider that a bad attribute seeing as he's playing for a team he's not loyal to? B. In what way has Schneider displayed loyalty to the Wings? C. Apart from the loyalty silliness there are many blueliners to be had that I'd take over High and Wide.

I sincerely hope you have Fedorov slated at 0 there on top...

Z needs to fine tune his offseason workouts. He skipped speed training for strength/bulk and started slow because of it. Without that first month he's a 100 point player. Can't argue with that.
-
Lately? He sure is. Shamelessly stolen from a poster at RWC. Z leads all scorers in the new year with 34 points. Sid is in 2nd with 30.
-
He doesn't know how to properly use a mouthguard.
-
That's pretty much Filppula, Kindl, a 1st and a 3rd. WAY too much for Pete at this stage of his career.

Apart from Zubov last season.

Z doesn't quite agree. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article.../702080456/1053 "Cujo tried to poke-check but I saw that coming, so when he did that, it was an open net," Zetterberg said. He's usually one of the first to deflect credit for something unintentional or playing it off to just being lucky. He wouldn't mention anticipating the poke-check and reacting if he didn't do precisely that. He may have gone further out with it than intended (making it a slightly longer shot), but I didn''t look like he was trying to shoot much quicker than he did (his body wouldn't have been far enough out to get anything on the shot). Just come more directly in front of the net.

What is a game winning goal supposed to tell us?

I'm about 99% certain. If a thread about the merits of winning percentage vs standings points pops up that last shred of doubt will be removed... -

Hello Rimouski... -
Yep.
-
He also holds the record of most 1st Team All Star honors (7) without once being a 2nd Team All Star.
-
Here's hoping he A. doesn't get to 1000 games and/or B. starts taking some time off. Nick currently holds the record for highest percentage of his team's games played of all players with over 1000 career games.
