say wha??? Sorry. We would have accepted the response of "YA RLY." Including a picture of your choice, particularly if it were an owl. peace

I can think of a dozen or two defensemen I'd rather have than McCabe and I don't think I'd trade Lidstrom for any of them (Yes, some would be better to have for the long haul but none would improve our immediate chances to win). peace

Alfredsson. I see Ovechkin taking the Pearson. His performance thus far is tailor made for the trophy awarded to the most outstanding player. Being on an abyssmal team hurts him for Hart recognition. peace

Damn that sucks. In highschool I had a scare like that with one of my teachers that luckily became funny instead of sad. It was when I was taking driver's ed and the day we took a half day off school to do longdistance interstate driving and city driving (I went to school in a town of 1,500 so it was a commute to get city traffic). Anyway, we went to McDonalds during the driver shift (it was me and my best friend one drives down the other drives back) for our teacher's morning coffee, which is a decades old ritual (this guy taught my dad and all my uncles driver's ed back in the 60's). He stepped up on the curb and it was icy and his leg just slipped out from under him and I have this distinct image of him levitating about 3 feet off the ground perfectly horizontal and then crashing down onto the curb/sidewalk. I was just panicking "Damn, here I am an hour from home no license and Mr. Poe just broke his hip." He just popped up, brushed/laughed it off and went to get his senior coffee. But it was scary for a couple seconds there. I hope your dad's recovery goes well. peace

Now things are making sense NN! I once wrote an essay about my "vast pool of useless knowledge." If it's meaningless trivia odds are it's the type of information that'll stick in my head. peace

Lake Baikal?sp. I believe it's also the deepest lake in the world. Sad I know that. I was on the quiz bowl team in highschool. peace

Aaaaannnd that's that. peace

Lidstrom, Lock. Chelios, Lock. No one else gets close unless Lebda wins himself a few Norris trophies down the road (which I don't see happening). Schneider is not a HOFer. peace

Could be that he took 3 penalties. That in itself will cut into one's icetime. If he got sat down for a while as punishment might as well. peace

Now that I'm done laughing at how quickly you came up with those stats, that data makes me very very sad. If it makes you feel better I messed up and we are 31-2-2 scoring 3+ as opposed to 30-2-2? peace Isn't Ottawa in the same boat as us in that catergory? And what movie were you talking about just seeing for the first time? Ottawa is winless (or was a few days ago I'm not sure if they pulled out out though I don't think so) when they don't score at least 3. And yeah M*A*S*H. Harold, Yeah I liked it. Took some times to get into some of the different actors but it worked. Corporal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly was always my favorite character. I was pleasantly surprised they kept the same actor for the tv show (I can't for the life of me come up with the name, he's the only hold over that I noticed though). peace

Where do you get those wonderful stats? I love Batman wordplay. Oh and some I find on handy dandy websites and others (like the one above) I look up myself. That one was onhand pretty easily since it came up a week or so ago and I tried to to just add the recent games to it (from memory) but as I pointed out I slipped up on the wins. peace

wow! talk about service! you had the data before I could even ask for it. Thanks Radar. Would you believe I watched that movie for the first time 3 days ago? It's weird after watching the series for so long. peace

Could be Babcock doesn't look at the stats. Manny's opponents in that span are more of the "better" teams. Though any team can beat any other team on any given night (see the Nucks losing back to back to Columbus and St. Louis and the Caps ending league leading Carolina's 9 game winning streak). Plus Osgood's record in that span was 9-3-1 and Manny's 8-5 (8-6 now but I haven't calculated the other stats, 2 goals in an OT game would bring his GAA down a bit and save% up). Like I said yesterday, Manny has been handed the reins by Babcock. He hasn't grabbed them yet. peace

1-12-1 scoring 1 or 2 goals. 30-2-2 scoring 3+ goals. peace

Manny's last two months of stats are negligibly better than Osgood's over the last couple months. Both are in the 2.5-2.6 GAA .900 save% range in that span. A hot October does us a s**t bit of good in January, February, March, April, and hopefully May and June. peace
