When the team plays well and he doesn't and costs us a game. No need in blaming just the goalie if it isn't just his fault. He had a s***ty game. Along with about a dozen other Wings after we chased Turco. ALL of them just gave up thinking the game was won. It's irritating this mob mentality to rip on the goalie when the entire team is to blame for folding like a cheap tent. peace

He started all of December going 8-1-1. Both starters had a bad game tonight. Though their skaters decided to show up right around the time ours decided that the game was over. Oh well. On to the Canes. Hope Manny and the rest of them play better. peace

And half of Tre Kronor. I know Barnes! isn't too keen about it, but I doubt he'd turn down Norstrom to add to our collection of Swedes. peace

There's Witt and Norstrom might hit the market unless he decides to re-up with the Kings. If we could entice him over to play alongside Lidstrom that'd be awesome. They pair together at the Olympics and are perfectly complementary. peace

Oh, and Bootland is apparently the new Captain? Was there fallout with Ellis somehow? Nevermind it was a boxscore mistake. Ellis is still captain, which would explain a total lack of acknowledgement on the Griffins' website. peace

Jiri is arguably more skilled than Datsyuk. If you look at their performances at the same age Hudler blows Datsyuk out of the water with his teenage numbers and up to what he's done now in the AHL, not that far off from the RSL (when the RSL isn't overrun with NHLers anyway). Hell Jiri played on Kazan two years after Datsyuk did and put up 6 points in 11 games compared to Pavel's 26 points in 42 games. And Pavel was 22, not 18. I would much rather find out whether Hudler's a gem or a dud while in our system. We'll never get near proper value out of his potential, which is pretty damn high. Less physically gifted players have succeded in the NHL. Datsyuk has gotten faster every season, no reason Hudler can't do the same and if he gets good wheels he becomes even more dangerous than he is without them. If he doesn't become good enough to stick with the Wings we can always unload him to a team with less offensive depth. Lang and Williams are two players that I would move. One is big, but old(er) and the other, IMO, has peaked. I think Will put up big numbers in a perfect situation, but if you look he's tailed off (4 points in his last 11 games, also those 11 games is when we've sort of turned around our slump) and his holes are becoming more prominent as the season unfolds. peace

He'd help them showcase Ovechkin to ticket buyers. Ovechkin outclasses everyone else they have by a wide margin and Lang has enough skill to hang with him in the offensive zone. Ovechkin has Chris Clark on his wing. He needs real help. peace

I think I'm about ready to put it in my sig. Had Pavel came over at the age Hudler did he'd have been traded off for Macoun or Mironov at the deadline by Wings fans. Jiri is still a full year younger than Pavel was when he first came over and your description fits Datsyuk of '01-'02 to a T. peace

I'd go for it. Lang alone might be enough tho, they already got our picks and prospects when he came over. They can consider it a rental fee. peace

That's just way too perfect to come down the pipe. The Oil have mentioned in recent times that they aren't happy with their goaltending. Same with Tampa. peace
