Spezi is a great drink (cola + orange soda mixed). Too bad they don't bottle it here in the US. In Germany they come under such great names as Mezzo Mix (Coke) and Schwipp Schwapp (Pepsi) . A Radler is pretty good too. Beer and lemon soda. Very refreshing! Developed as a social drink that's refreshing but doesn't hit you too hard. peace

If Primeau is out for the year. the Flyers can replace his salary (they wouldn't be trading him). Weight is on the last year of his contract. He'd just be holding Keith's spot until the offseason. Side note... what would happen if Keith recovers for the playoffs, ala Forsberg from '01-'02, since the players don't get paychecks at that point? Would he and Weight be allowed to both play? peace

Yeah. I'm still not sure how or why Khabibulin got as much as he did. Guess it helps being the lone perceived elite tender on the market but I didn't think it would get that crazy (and I laugh considering he's been outplayed by a healthy margin by two sub $1M goalies this year). Luongo is younger and better than Nikolai, and he'll cash in in a year and a half. peace Reigning cup winner might have had something to do with it. On an unbelievably stacked team. Osgood is a cup winner too, but we all know how that one goes. Though a lot of the Khabi hype came up before the playoffs. $7M is still about $2-3M more than what I would have expected him to make. peace

Luongo is going to get very pricey very soon. He turned down a 5 year $25M offer from Keenan during the offseason and then Keenan took Roberto to arbitration to get him under contract. peace

He'll get signed. It was the Wings that arranged his placement with Cedar Rapids of the USHL. There was some other sort of hangup the year before with him getting stuck in Belarus when he wanted to be playing in Russia or something like that, so they made sure he got a spot in a North American league. I'm not sure if they tried one of the Canadian Junior leagues, but something tells me they did but it didn't work out? I'll have to look into it. peace

A lot of Belarussians adopt the Russian spelling when they come over to NA. I believe with the Roughriders he's going as Sergei Kolosov as opposed to Siarhei Kolasau. peace
