With the year he's having it'll be hard to keep Liv off the roster. Particularly if Tellquist isn't going to get many games playing behind Belfour. It didn't hamper Lundquist much. Might it be easier to go from larger rinks to smaller rinks as a goalie? Less shooting angles one has to cover. peace

Only if the wheels fall off the offense in our top 6. Or as Heaton mentioned in the case of injuries. He is not going to get called up to fill a 3rd/4th line spot. That would go to a guy like Ellis. peace

do you mean as in "Of Men and Mice" or the duo from "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" I just mean we have two Jiri's. One's huge and the other tiny. Kinda like Vlad the Impaler. I like those kinds of titles. Just a name and a descriptor. peace I prefer Jiri the Great to Jiri the Large. Kinda goes better with his ability, while still suggesting size. Or how about we go with.. Regular Jiri and Biggie-sized Jiri... No? See, I'm hoping both will be great therefore the "Great" would just be confusing. peace How about Jiri the Mighty? For the big one or small one? When I hear mighty I think mouse. peace

I prefer Jiri the Small. Goes well with Jiri the Large. Here's hoping we get a decade plus out of those two. peace

5 goals and 4 assists (2-3 and 3-1) Teammate Jakub Kindl has 1 assist for the year thus far. peace

I don't see Datsyuk ever being traded. I know, but Havlat's one of the guys out there I'd move him for. peace
-
*cough*Datsyuk*cough* Though I highly doubt they're going to ship him off. He may be chippy but he's one hell of a talented player. Cheap too. peace
-
I doubt that. peace

Well, that would be the second thing that held him back on draft day. He's not what you'd call a speed demon. He's not even remotely as quick as either Kariya or St. Louis. Though hopefully his hockey sense/instincts, which has gotten him this far, can get him into a productive NHL career. peace

Hat trick tonight. 5 games, 9 goals, 4 assists, for 13 points. Obscene. peace

Witt? Delmore? With any luck Kronwall will be our trade deadline acquisition. I'd look up front to see if anything would need to be added. Maybe flip a low pick for a decent heavy (read a guy that can play a regular shift without embarassing himself) from a non-playoff team. peace
-
I'd say almost guaranteed since they want him to play 2 games and bring him to Detroit over the weekend. Provided the two games go well. peace

Forward progress stopped? He was still flying in mid-air when he got popped. Had that ball gone straight to a ND player they would have been more than happy with the call. peace
-
Did you miss the fumble out of bounds? Now I'm no follower of football (the game happened to be on and I watched it), but I do believe that stops the clock. peace
-
Another goal tonight for Jiri midway through the 2nd. peace Added an assist halfway through the 3rd.

How did the Irish get screwed? I was watching. peace

Anything and everything I've ever read about the guy. He's an offensive player, period. peace

Quite a bit? From my understanding they are all within the same 1" and 10lbs. GR has Valtteri listed at 5'11" 202lbs. And the Wings have Hank at 6' 180lbs (hockeydb has him at 190lb). Same size and nearly same game, though I'd give the all-around defensive edge to Hank and Valtteri. McGrath is pretty one-way. peace

He's as ready as he'll ever be. peace

Held scoreless in a 2-2 game today. peace

http://ahl.leaguestat.com/stats/game-summa...game_id=1001043 I didn't see it but the boxscore looks impressive on a Wings of the future outlook. Hudler 2 and 2, Quincey with 2 assists, Filppula with a goal and a helper, etc... peace

I think that only counts for players that have already been in the league before. peace

hockeydb.com only gave him one for the game so that's 2 to 1 and I'll go with that. Still it's 13 points in 13 games. He had 18 in 41 games last season (all 18 points scored in the last 25 games after a horribly slow start because the coaches wouldn't let him play and get adjusted so he got himself traded). peace
