Griffins. He played in the game mentioned above. peace

http://www.severstalclub.ru/modules.php?op...order=0&thold=0 Two more assists in a 3-4 loss today. 4g 10a in 13 games. peace

I believe Grigorenko's point totals are also similar to Evgeni Malkin's. That's something to be proud of. Kovalchuk is the best forward in the world...Malkin is a top prospect. I believe referring to Kovalchuk as the best forward in the world would be a little generous, but either way, I'm truly excited to see that Grigorenko is keeping pace with the likes of Ilya Kovalchuk and Evgeni Malkin. It wouldn't suprise me one bit to see Igor step right into the Wings' lineup next season if he keeps this up. IMO, Ilya is the best pure offense guy out there. Plus at 22 there is room to grow. Grigorenko could have stepped into the lineup the year of his accident (just prior obviously) and he could have stepped right into the lineup this year. peace

Kendall McArdle #7. Dan Collins #24. I'm sure McGrath was ranked much higher than his draft position would indicate. Hudler as well. peace

There are incentives that could be added on. Plus we we shouldn't be that close to the cap. No closer than we are now and odds are high we are removing one of Osgood/Legace, Chelios, and possibly Shanahan and Yzerman as well. All these guys are likely going to be replaced with cheap guys already in our system. Ovechkin came over knowing he won't make as much, for the first three years anyway. Here's hoping Igor has the same competitive spirit to play in the biggest league out there. peace

I tried but my translator of choice couldn't handle it. Being linked to Severstal's site once and trial and error has gotten me to the point to recognize the bolded word as Grigorenko's name. Luckily they format their gamesheets the same way we do. peace

My Russian is completely nonexistant but I'm fairly certain Igor netted the OT gamewinner against Ak Bars today? Oct. 7th. http://www.severstalclub.ru/modules.php?op...order=0&thold=0 Овертайм: 60.43 Григоренко (Турковский, Трубачев) - 3:2 EDIT - posted a bit too hasty. He got an assist on the 1st goal of the game too. 1-й период: 8.40 Пискунов (Трубачев, Григоренко) - 1:0 So 1+1 for 4g 8a in 12 games. Not too shabby. peace

I feel really bad for the kid because for the duration of his hockey career I'll be comparing him to the guy I, and many others, were hoping Holland would pick. /Latendresse has a goal and two assists in his first game back with his Junior team after narrowly missing out on a spot with the Habs. peace

A preseason game in September of 2001. peace
-
He apparently wears #15 for the Griffins and if that remains empty when he finally breaks in with the Wings that may (heavy emphasis on MAY) be his number. peace
-
I'd hold off on that if I were you. When Datsyuk first came over he had a number in the 50's (all the rookies and tryouts are just given numbers) before he established himself with the team and picked out a number. I'm not sure if Valtteri has locked himself into a number with the Wings just yet. peace EDIT - you would have looked as silly as Pavel does wearing this jersey.

Two assists in game 3 and two goals and two more assists in game 4. 4GP 7G 8A 15Pts Not too shabby. Keep the pedal to the metal Evan. peace

Somewhat unknown qualities I'd imagine. They weren't ranked in the pre-draft scouting registries. peace

On the other end of the spectrum is Michael Hackert. He just showed up in the Griffins' camp flying in from Germany where he was a pretty good scorer in the DEL. peace

2g 7a in 9 games according to poster at HFBoards. Sniper needs to start sniping. peace

Most recent roster mugshot with Severstal. A poster at another forum (this was during preseason tournies which Igor played well in) said he was almost as fast as he was prior to the accident he just needed to add more all around strength. His stats would indicate he can play just fine. The also corroborated the nearly 220lbs story. That and Igor's closer to 5'10". Stout bastard. peace

West of Moscow does not equal Asia (considering what you are considering Europe is West of Moscow). East of the Urals equals Asia. Togliatti is West of the Urals. I agree the term is dumb, but not because he isn't European. peace
-
And? Five out of 8 Samara, Russias are located in Europe including the only one I'd classify a "city." If you look at a map you'd realize that a hefty chunk of Russia lies in Europe up until the Ural mountains. Extra bit of trivia, Datsyuk is from a city that lies on the "border" between Europe and Asia. peace

He was still 4th on the team in scoring. peace

Generally speaking offensive players produce much less if not given full minutes and regular shifts. They need time on the ice to get into the flow of things. If he's playing every 6th or 7th shift and mop up duties in decided games(in games he's not scratched and sitting in the press box) he's not going to produce as well as if he's playing every 3rd-4th shift and in meaningful portions of the game. peace
-
4th line minutes in the NHL is not a reward. That is why Kronwall and Hudler were sent down in '03-'04. They needed top line/pairing time to grow and mature as players and Filppula (unless he miraculously lands a top 6 spot) would be best served as a player to be skating 15-20 minutes a night as a Griffin than 5-10 minutes a night as a Wing. Hudler too (he's only a month or two older than Valtteri and has development left to make). peace

Now we agree!! Yeah, that 5 man forward corp is gonna take us far. peace

Nabokov and it shouldn't even be close. peace
-
Actually that would be the regular season. They call every set of games Round X. Sweden does the same. peace

http://www.bluejackets.com/news/press/arts/2549.0.html Big Snake with 2 more goals in a 7-1 rout of the BJ rookies. peace EDIT - Temper the enthusiasm RWC states he only had 1. Oh well, better than nothing.
