Why would he have to look at the net? It's not moving. It's in the same place at all times. If you know exactly where you are on the ice, you should know exactly where the corners of the net are.

What doom and gloom? So long Marian, and thanks for all the fish...
-
Hudler is Kozlov and Larionov rolled into a fun-sized bundle. Letting him go would be a huge mistake.
-
Unless Hossa takes a $4M/yr cap he won't fit with the roster you put together, let alone with wiggle room.
-
We have to lose a hell of a lot more than Hudler and Sam to account for what Hossa would potentially sign for. Signing Hossa means we have to trade away $5M in salary already on the books. Helm, Ericsson, Howard, Leino won't save us even $1M if we use them to replace Samuelsson, Chelios, Conklin, and Hudler. Factor in that Z and Franzen have $6M in raises coming. So even if Hossa were to take a $2M haircut, we'd still have to shave off $5M. $4M to account for the net change in Hossa/Z/Franzen's contracts and $1M to replace the two players we trade away (ie two of Filppula, Kronwall, Stuart, Cleary). Let Marian walk. Let Sam walk. Let Conk and Chelios walk. Sign Hudler. Bring up the kids. And we'd still be close to capped out, but at least we wouldn't have to dump salary. And that's taking into account the cap not moving at all. It could conceivably drop a million or two.

My issue is that the games would start about half an hour before I have to leave for work.

Q is 41-24-2 lifetime vs the Nucks...
-
His lifetime record vs the Wings is 19-51-10. 5-16 in the playoffs. Prior to said two-game winning streak he was on a 12 game losing streak.
-
I pulled this one out last season (or the year before maybe) but come playoff time fighting ability has about as much impact as beard growing ability.

Two words and four numbers Joel Quenneville. 1997, 1998, 2002, 2008.

Help us Max Nicastro, you're our only hope!
-
1. He wasn't hit knee on knee. He got hit along the boards and tweaked his knee when he fell. 2. I'm fairly certain the knee wasn't the issue. 3. That hit is still only one of three times that I can recall off the top of my head where Nick really got torqued. And that was the only one of the 3 where he missed a shift let alone any games.

Wings beat the Bruins in '43. The Bruins beat the Wings in '41.

I've never found cause to have much of an opinion regarding Maurice, let alone what appears to be a very strong negative one. Any reason?

Few players in the history of the league have been harder to catch with a hit, clean or otherwise, than Lidstrom. This wouldn't happen to Lidstrom so it really makes little sense hypothesizing.
-
AO didn't widen his stance one bit. Unfortunate play. Probably should have called that one for 5, but there was absolutely no intent to take out the leg. Unless you've perfected that art like guys like Marchment and Samuelsson you're just as likely to blow your own leg out. No way he intended that. No way he gets suspended for that. Or at least there is no way he should be.

Bruins are indeed in big trouble, Jack.

Smoke and mirrors can get you through the regular season, but the Stanley Cup Playoffs expose your true colors. Randy Carlyle will be sending Green an Xmas card this year, as the 4th Forward will take over the "worst Norris winner" title.

Parros can't outskate the Wings. He most definitely can't outskate their puck movement.
-
George can't catch them. And he can't soften up what he can't catch. It's why Downey is a liability. Every big hit he throws is a potential interference call as he's miles behind the play.
-
Then you've never seen a good fight. Or been patient enough to pay attention during a good one. In the days of PRIDE it was a 10 minute round followed by two 5 minute rounds. Beats the pants off of a bunch of 3 minute ones with rests in between. MMA > boxing (and hockey fights) 'nuff said.

Enough. Homer would live and do his job on the PP. Stupid very rarely pays off.

Boxers ain't s***. I'd also like to point out that the guy lying face first on the canvas was Freddy Roach's boy.
-
Ex-UFC fighter. And notice that he's lying unconscious face first on the canvas. MMA =/= UFC
