i'm working on it right now. the first step is "visitor" status, then "resident" status, then you can take the test to apply for citizenship. i'm working with an immigration lawyer to ensure that everything is done properly.

Hell, why stop at Avery, let's try to get Barnaby. Wait a minute, what's Claude Lemieux doing these days? He was a pretty good agitater. (and yes for those who don't know, the lemieux comment is extreme sarcasm meant to show that agitation isn't always a good and desirable thing, although at least claude won a conn smythe. It'll be a cold day in hell when avery wins that trophy.)

Should Detroit trade Pavel Datsyuk in the offseaon?
Lidstrom Rules replied to rage's topic in General
Yes. He has the same teammates in the playoffs as in the regular season yet he's failed to find the back of the net since 2002. He needs to step up and make things happen regardless of who's with him out there. I thought that's why he held out and delayed the signing of Zetterberg (6 goals in 6 games *cough cough*). I thought it was because he's so fantastic and creative that he can find a way to score.Trade him for a goalie that can steal a game or two. -

That's weird. I was just going to post that OWF and I are making homemade pizza as well. Good Stuff. Oh and do me a favor and have some cheese curds, too. I miss that.

Nah, I'm usually a lot of fun to be around. I just got tired of reading about Chris Osgood and Pavel Datyuk and Sean Avery so for the most part I stay out of general discussion.
-
Hmmmm let's see here 1) Chris Osgood is comperable to Roy and Brodeur 2) Pavel Datsyuk has the softest hands EVER in the history of hockey 3) Pavel Datsyuk is better than Ilya Kovalchuk 4) Detroit is a lovely city with as much to offer as Chicago, Boston, NY etc 5) The City of Toronto, Ontario actually owns and posses the Detroit Zoo 6) The Red Wings need new unis All these statements have been posted on this site yet the least outlandish of these is the April Second day joke. Yep you got us.

Sorry, I'm not sold. Two reasons: -I don't really care how much money Illitch make. -I also don't care about people thinking the Whinged Wheel is dumb. Sometimes marketing is simply about protecting what you have and I happen to believe that the Red Wings is one of those cases. If Illitch needs to build a new arena I'm sure there are other ways to finance it. Ok Muse, you got me. I didn't realize what date this thread was started until now. if it is an april fool joke, the scary thing is that people are agreeing and putting suggestions on here.

the nhl doesn't even own the cup, good lord, what right do the Wings have to take that as their logo. as i said above, go check out the ceiling at the Bell Center.
-
Wow. I don't even know where to start. Next we'll hear that it would be great idea for the Hawks to replace the Indian head with the Sears Tower and Toronto to replace the Leaf with the CN tower and the Habs to replace their classic logo with an arrogant, french pr*ck. These desperate attempts at trying to convince people that Detroit's image is bad/wrong and the city is really EXACTLY like Chicago or Boston have gone too far. How many members on this site live within the Detroit city limits?? I'd really like to know. I'd wager there are more people that live in Chicago proper on this site than Detroit proper. (I'm tallking city limits. Not Novi, Sterling Hts, Livonia, Farmington, or any of the Actually liveable areas.) I think Bettman's plan of trying to make hockey fans forget all about tradition is working. Hockey is more about tradition than any other sport. Maybe people haven't noticed but "Retro" is the name of the game in sports these days. Look at how many sports have throwback games or have teams changing their uniforms back to their old styles. Teams like the Sabres are realizing their mistakes and talking about going back to their classic jerseys. Putting the Stanley Cup on the jersey is such an arrogant and stupid idea that i can't believe it was mentioned in seriousness. If any team were to be idiotic enough to do that, only the Habs have a claim since they've won the most Cups. That'd be like the the Patriots putting the Lombardi Trophy on their helmets.
