I dont like playing Zetterberg and Datsyuk on the same line. We should spread the wealth now that we finally have a chance to. We need more balanced scoring. Tatar/Zetterberg/Larkin Abdelkader/Datsyuk/Nyquist Miller/Glendening/Helm Sheahan/Athanasiou/Pulkkinen -

Then the stats lie. Pulkkinen has not been one of our better forwards.

Yes Smith and Kronwall should be our only option. Ericsson does not belong in the top 4.

Pulkkinen Andersson Kindl Marchenko Pulkkinen is my first cut. He is not a good fit for this team. Terrible turnover machine with the puck and equally weak without it. His only use is on the PP where he might be able to use his one timer.

When I saw Pulkkinen and Tatar on the ice in OT I thought now it is over and Tatar nearly turned the puck over, but then Kindl goes all Bobby Orr on them as someone put it. LOL. -

Abdelkader has been quiet lately I would like to see a change to get him going again. I propose this. Tatar-Zetterberg-Larkin Abdelkader-Sheahan-Nyquist -
I would like to see the following pairs. Kronwall-Smith Dekeyser-Kindl Ericsson-Marchenko Smith has done well paired with Kronwall before. I imagine that Dekeyser would allow Kindl to be more offensive and then a shutdown pair in Ericsson/Marchenko.

You seriously underrate Helm. Yes he is injury prone but defensively and even offensively he is still leaps above Jurco or Pulkkinen at this point. -

Larkin is in a different league than any other prospect coming up in the last decade. He will not be scratched anytime soon. He would probably be sent down before being a healthy scratch. I like Ferraro, love his hustle, shot blocking and speed. He also has a tendancy to be in the right spot in front of the opposition net, although he tends to shoot high and wide. Give him some time and he will make Miller expendable and perhaps score 10 a season. -

Agreed. The team was outworked for the entire game save half a period, during which they also scored twice. Looked very sloppy and missed easy passes in the defensive zone leading to turnovers. -

Agreed, but Nyquist and Pulkkinen on the same line is far from ideal. -
Helm is not less of a scorer than Pulkkinen or Jurco at this point and if healthy he will offer much more than any of those two. Pulkkinen is pretty useless on a checking line so I guess that job will go to Jurco.

They are not sitting Helm for Jurco or Pulkkinen. Helm, Richards and Tatar sound like a decent line to me.

Jurco has a huge advantage over Pulkkinen in that he can play and contribute on the 4th line. Pulkkinen in that same spot is useless. I think this is why we will eventually see more of Jurco than Pulkkinen down the line, unless there is a trade.

Yeah, I'm around but I dont post much. Just me speculating, but I figured it could be "personal reasons" related.
