my thoughts are this.....this team can obviously be very good....hence our road record. if we played with any sort of effort at home we would be close to the top of the league. it's very disturbing.

is helm out for sure?...heard he was a game time decision.....as for Pavs, babcock said he won't be back anytime soon.....he must have done something during the winter classic but it's odd he went all the way to the shootout in that game with the injury. terrible news regardless.

like i just posted in the game day thread....i ended up with box seats in the leaf alumni box. it was beyond amazing and did not have to deal with any bathroom/food concerns. for everyone else it sounds pretty rough....waiting for the bathrooms that long would have been difficult for sure.

i was at the very top of the stadium. view was ok, spent time watching on the big screen for sure. but luckily for us (me and two leaf fan friends) had such amazing tickets. we didn't even know until we got there that we ended up with box seats. no lines for beer or bathrooms and all the heat we needed. to boot it was the leafs alumni box. sat with gary roberts, bob mcgill and family, lanny mcdonald, brad may. was cool to talk with brad about that goal he scored that they didn't count years ago when playing with the wings. overall i would not change that experience for anything...pregame, post game, was all awesome.

i honestly don't think the team needs a huge makeover. when healthy our forward group is very good. we have the problem that many teams lack. good puck moving defenseman. it all starts from back there when the forwards can't get the puck. kronwall, ericsson, dekeyser is what we have that is good......currently smith, lashoff, kindl, quincey are not. we have a sever drop between the top 3 and bottom 3.

exactly! what the f*** was he thinking just directing it to no one? i've always felt howard has no concept of when to keep the play moving or not. regardless of smith ******* up twice large on that shift....preds should have a goose egg so far.

this is one of those times when plus minus means nothing. howard is ******* useless as s*** right now. can't believe he's still in the net.

what's up with helm? there was a possibility he would play against florida yesterday. now they are saying unsure of a return date?

glad we won in regulation....not a great game by any means though. everyone gives up 2 goal leads. chicago up 2 against stl tonight with 4 minutes to go. stl won in a shootout. it happens a lot now.
