jesus, tell me about it. i've been to the last 2 games in toronto and we've lost both. no matter how good the wings are it seems we always lose to the leafs and it'll probably continue tonight. just so my friends can rub it in my face. -

agreed. we are so far from out of the woods yet. lotsa players coming back after christmas which is amazing. at least we only have a couple of more games for most of these guys to miss. -
i dont think that hit was clean at all. clearly interference but not suspension worthy. eriksson never touched the puck and got hammered.

just a thought on this but i could be wrong. on the play before florida's tying goal a florida player reached high and gloved the puck into the crease where a scrum ensued. should the play not have been blown dead pretty much immediately and the faceoff outside? instead the faceoff stayed inside and they scored.

originally i actually didn't think the hit was that bad, but the more i see it yes it was pretty bad. don't know what schenn was possibly thinking on that.

our special teams failed us big time tonight. that's the sole reason we lost.

I agree. I was coming to post this exact same comment. Imagine this team by just adding Pav and Bert and subtracting Cleary and Sammy! Sharing ice time will be the only problem with the lines so spread out.

the team just flat out isn't good enough. we are a one line team with a million giveaways a game. I cant decide if that is because our players are making plays too slow or if every other team in the league is making faster decisions than us. our forwards are basically all third liners (except for the obvious few) and our D provide us no offense. we would be much better though if we would just take care of the puck.

this exactly. drives me nuts how the bottom six try to play like the top 6. they need to be more traditional when it comes to the bottom six. do as much crash and bang as possible. having said that though, helm, nyquist, tatar maybe would be excellent as a third line.

yes it does. why do we insist on franzen in the top six if everyone complains about him? drop him to a third line centre and move Weiss up to the wing. I am very guilty like others on here. every year I expect franzen to score a lot and play hard and I don't know why I expect it because it never happens. demote the donkey to a checking role.

ya just for alfie I thought the wings were gonna dominate this game. I think the wings forget as well that this is actually a huge divisional game tonight. gotta win these at home.

this game is disgusting. when we look bad we look really bad. no heart or intensity. where's the hits from abby, cleary, bert, franzen the floater....no forecheck at all.

while abby did ok on the first line previously, he should not be there or on the 2nd line. he's a third liner at best for us to be successful. you are actually missing alfie which should be on the 2nd line. hank-dats-bert alfie-Weiss-mule nyquist-helm-tatar tootoo-andersson-miller

i'm with you on this. babs doesn't normally mess with a winning formula. he did and it bit us. superstition plays a big role in sports. especially with me.

I agree that smith couldn't have realized that a potential goal scoring play might happen off that play but it's very strange that he was not injured at all after that. I have never seen a stranger play involving a goaltender injury.

******* bingo. i'm not upset that we lost. teams lose. i'm really pissed that smith acted like he was shot for no reason and was able to stay in the game and it cost us a goal. then he scores to add salt to the wound? terrible terrible rule/call. whatever it was. that was an absolute joke.
