kinda funny tonight too. sj didn't really do anything to achieve 5 goals. i think they played well for a good 10 minutes and that was enough.

wow conklin really? like i said earlier, just like the washington game. we've actually lost by decent margins in a few games already this year. i seriously wonder if we might miss the playoffs. there's a lot of teams that are as good as we are and with 3 point games we could actually be in trouble.

i don't get how niemi is so good against us. i just don't see him being that good of a goalie.

exactly!!!!! when the torch was passed, z and d were fantastic players to hand off to. there is no one like that now. torch is getting passed and dropped.

i would be ok with this. win 2 of the 3 periods at least. get something good going for the weekend games cause we're gonna need to win em both.

i'm gonna reiterate (sp) babcock here. our best players are not our best players. flip, Z, franzen, cleary, hudler, dats a little. we count on these guys to score which at this point is sad. we don't need a huge skake up but something has to be done. we're too streaky and we just don't have "IT" so far this year. just not a good enough TEAM. if things stay status quo we'll make the playoffs and maybe go out in the 2nd round again.

it is true. i guess if we don't score 5, we're gonna score 1. tonight will probably be the 1. right now i can't imagine us getting to the 4 required to win this game.

what needs to be done fro us to beat this team. that's the question.

oh yeah. hopefully my prediction from an earlier post comes true. we lose tonight and game 3 against sj. win game 4 cause we're finally sick of losing, beat them in the playoffs and take stanley. it's the only way a loss tonight would make me feel good.

me too, but i won't be able to sleep without watching the whole game.

yep. sj could get 3 shots on net the entire game but score on all 3. this is way more frustrating then a loss when detroit just doesn't play.

i can't stand thornton mostly and sj second. i hope he never even sniffs the cup.
