i'm gonna say the wings lose tonight. we lose the next game against the sharks as well. after being sick of losing to the them we win the 4th game fighting for our lives and that propelles(sp) detroit into the playoffs and the stanely cup.

i might be a little blind here but i don't understand how flip's stats are so good this year. i can't stand the guy. like that other thread says "he is way too nice", and he never shoots the effing puck.

i was just coming on here to say the same thing. it kills me too cause i really like Cleary but clearly he should be on a third line and excel there. pavs, cleary, and holmstrom is the worst pp set up i have ever seen. also really shows how much you miss kronwall on the pp when he left the game. stuart and kindl were brutal attempting to bring the puck up. overall the first 10 minutes was good, the pp was horrendous. 3rd and 4th lines look good. lotsa energy there.

just win. end the home stand on a good note. i assume jimmy will be starting since he's on fire.

it is quite true about missing the playoffs. we're in a real tough conference and wasting extremely valuable points on home ice against s*** ******* teams. this could quite seriously come back to bite us in the ass. last year we rode a hot start and played 500 the rest of the way to get in the playoffs. they need to pick it up and do it fast.

we have no tradeable players right now. that ain't gonna happen. plus holland has no balls anyway. i'm not gonna say this is all datsyuk's fault but it is. his level of play and creativity could be masking these losses with a goal here or there. without him at his normal top level of play this team is s***. he needs to be better. he's either injured or just ******* hates babcock.

i feel for datsyuk as well. poor guy has cleary and hudler on his line. talk about a one man show. i have never seen the entire team be this bad though. like another poster said about flip and everyone else. take the ******* puck to the ******* net. stop playing like such ******* girls for once.

+1 i was just texting a friend trying to explain the wings play and this sums it up perfectly. if you're gonna suck complete ass at least put a little effort in it. this team could care less. it's really effing frustrating. are they tuning out babcock? everyone seems disinterested. they all suck so bad though there isn't even trade bait.

yep, 1 goal ain't gonna win too many games. bottom lin. i'm almost wondering now if D & Z haven't been separated because Babcock knows that D isn't 100%. Z is there to solidify the line more. Datsyuk definitely is not the same player right now.

looking at that line up, we badly need a goal scorer. 3rd line is pretty good, 4th ain't bad for a 4th line. 2nd line is horrible. bertuzzi is just not a 2nd liner anymore. a true goal scorer would make this team look a whole lot better.

it is only 3 losses so the world isn't gonna end. however it's clear that we can't beat sj and i would love to see a couple of changes. i like what miller and eaves do but i would like to see it done by bigger bodies who use those big bodies. hence bertuzzi leaving (which i know he'll never get traded). franzen does play like a girl and it's frustrating as all hell. to match up against a team like sj we also need a very good, big defenseman to go against the top line. i can't stand thorton but he's been killing us these last couple of years and it's hard to admit that. fact is that we basically have the same team that won in 08 and lost in 09. other teams are getting better while we're getting a little older and kinda going sideways in terms of getting better. only reason i say all this is that we still have an extremely good team and are not that far off from being the team to beat again.
