If we sign Hossa to a huge contract, then Lidstrom might HAVE to retire in 2 years time if the cap goes down to a possible 45 mil.

It doesn't matter how many. What if another Sanderson situation arises to a 16 year old kid?

David Branch has to be proactive on this issue. He cannot wait for a 16 year old kid to possibly die or receive a life altering injury from a fight to then decide on a rule.

I didn't wade through all the posts but a lot of people seem upset by this. Must remember that this rule has been put in place to protect TEENAGERS not grown men.

Is it possible that some of our defensive lapses this entire season have been due to Lidstrom's overall decreased ice time? A few extra shifts per game in previous seasons might have made quite a difference that we have never noticed until now. I know the staff wants him a little fresher for the playoffs but is this the consequence?

I would like to hear why they are allowing tv timeouts after an icing. Maybe they don't feel it makes much of a difference?

I was listening to Doug Mclean on the fan590 today. He stated that he talked to Holland last night and that Holland said he and the Wings were fully aware of what would happen had the two players not shown up. They were willing to have them miss 1 game so they could get more rest.

Every night there is a game just go to motherpucker.ca. Every game is streamed there and it's the best quality i've seen.

I can't stand Cherry. He drives me absulutely nuts listening to him speak. It drives me even more nuts that he can't pronounce players names correctly.

I was equally impressed as well. Did anyone catch the "after hours" show as well with whoever the host is, Crawford & Babs? That was awesome too. I love listening to Babcock speak about the team. You can learn so much from that guy about the way the game should be played.
