At least Holland knew when to say no to Bertuzzi by not re-signing him. He has been terrible this year and I didn't even realize he was playing on Sunday.

Maybe it is just me. Or maybe I just enjoy it sometimes when the Wings lose and face some adversity. I hate seeing them coast through the regular season. I want this to be as tough as possible for them to realize what it might take. I also want Holland to tweak this team just a little cause right I don't see the Wings beating Anaheim in a seven game series.

Everything about that call was legit except for the fact that Homer was not penalized. He had his foot in the crease impeding Giguere. Osgood let in 3 bad goals and the whole team let him down on that Huskins goal. We made some mistakes and lost. Take it as it is and move on.

I thought the Homer incident was called OK but yes it should have been a penalty if he interfered with him. There are a few things from this game though. Hasek is on fire right now (aside from that Sunding goal but he's all about anticipation). Osgood has not been good lately. Ride the hot goalie. Why did we make Kent F'ing Huskins the new Bobby Orr. WTF was that. The whole team sat and watched as the new Bobby Orr went end to end. I was more angry about that then anything else I saw. On the positive I didn't notice a whole lot of anything from Anaheim but we are a couple of players away from being where we want to be. We are seriously a one line team right now. Trade Hudler and Sammy and get some people who will be useful to us.

Generally I agree with the poster. I don't know about those exact players but it's definitely the right idea. What I will say is trade Sammy to a team who needs what he brings and try to get a player with the "grit" factor in return. Trade Hudler straight up for Blake. No picks involved for a rental. Thirdly get some secondary scoring but not a rental player.

I guess I am in the extreme minority on this issue. Homer had his skate in the crease. I don't think he interfered with Giguere but he definitely impeded him. If anything I think Homer needs to learn where that blue ice is. Obviously they are going to call him on it every time so stay out of the blue altogether.

Apparently Wade Redden did not waive his no trade clause as Ottawa asked him to do in order to land Marleau. SJ is in desperate need for a puck moving DMAN.

Was on the fan 590 in Toronto two nights ago. Says all the brass sat down and at no point will they trade for a rent-a-player a la Sundin unless a contract extension can be worked out first. After what they saw happen to other teams they will not give up prospects and or picks and have that player sign back with their original team. I figure most people kinda knew this already but since it came straight from Jim D it might make people think again about trade posts.

This is good for the Wings. They got lucky against the Wild and lost tonight. You're not gonna play well every game. That's just the way it goes. Hopefully they show up for the Leafs though. I know way too many Leaf fans to have to deal with that.

If Shaq can stay healthy only for the rest of this season it's a great trade. Phoenix desperately needs a big man with a presence inside. Let Amare go to power forward where he belongs. I'm a huge Suns fan but can admit that their style will never win. Now with Shaq they can hopefully play a run and gun game as well as a half court offense.

It's been reported in many media outlets that he'll be going back to Philly anyway. Let him reside in the east.

Considering all the s*** Cleary has been through he doesn't strike me as the type of guy to just go for the money. I think he has found a nice new home in Detroit.
