I heard a rumor about these blades. Apparently the reason the chip is in these skates is because there needs to be a device that can decifer when you activate the blades by saying "Go Go Gadget Hockey Skates!" (wah wah)

There is a possible way to do a Fire Bettman day. One of the days they are on NBC, they have like every team play on that day and just have everyone come out in full force. Nobody watches VS but people watch NBC. It would be perfect.

If Babcock wants to see Fil go, they need to get him a legitimate second line scorer. Then you will see how good he can be. I still say the should put him with Datsyuk and Homer, Zetterberg can carry Sammy and Franzen.

Ok. Just consider this a rant of some sorts but I just have to get this out there. I hardly ever see Lebda get any props from anyone but me. To me he really has a chance and capable of being a really good defenseman. I even see him if he got the ice time and a little Power Play time that he could put up 35 to 40 points a year. When Lidstrom was injured last year for those few games at the end, who stepped in on the power play? My Buddy Lebda. This guy really is a great offensive defenseman, he could be better defensively but nonetheless he is solid. So all this talk "oh put Kronwall with Lidstrom" or "Put Kronwall with Rafalski". Hey, Until he shows he can stay healthy, I say put Lebda with Rafalski or Lidstrom. So anyway, I just wish Lebda got a little more love around here. Keep in mind Lebda was a +16 as a third pairing defenseman, that is pretty good.

Looks like I better add an "A" to my Lebda jersey. HAHA

I kinda think the same way too, He does seem a little overrated to me. I just went on my rant about how Lebda gets no respect but everyone talks about Kronwall, Lebda will end up better than Kronwall.

Does anyone realize the re-signing of Maltby is harboring this team on our checking lines. I mean I like Malts as much as the next guy but I did not expect him to factor into the team this year.

Ok, I have thought long and hard about this extra cap space. First of all, I am all for getting a top 6 forward not named Fedorov or Forsberg. Secondly I am not for signing someone in free agency, nobody out there really stands out as a gamer in my eyes, the one player I would have hoped for was Smyth and he is gone. So I have considered every option out there and this is my view on the situation. Brian Rolston is a free agent after this season. Currently he is making 2.5 million or close to somewhere in that neighborhood. First of all for those people who dont know Rolston but most of you should, he plays for the Wild, has tremendous speed, a extremely powerful shot, and is basically a beast at killing penalties. For those people out there who love big guys, Brian brings it, he is 6'2 210-215 lbs. He is basically a 30 goal scorer every year on a defense first Wild team. One thing is that he is 34 which is not old but is definantly getting up there. He is not necessarily a great passer, but if he is on a line with Filpulla or Datsyuk he wont need to be. Ok, so here is my plan, also if in a perfect world this could happen we would also have money left for a depth defenseman. I say around the time Minnesota is out of the playoff hunt which may or may not happen we do whatever possible to package a deal to get Rolston. He is basically what the wings need. A top six forward with size who can score. Now I have no idea what the Wild would want for him but I frankly would not care all that much. I mean there are obvious exceptions like Datsyuk, Zetterberg or any young player out there. But at the deadline if he is available it shouldn't take to much to get him. Now if he resigns during the season then just forget all about this, and if he goes into free agency I say give it a shot, he could do like Rafalski and take a hometown discount as he is from Flint. Ok, that is my take. I am open to all criticism but hey at least I am not saying sign Forsberg or Fedorov.

I had a decent grizzly bear one going for a month and shaved it off when they went down 2-1 to San Jose. I think it may have even ruined my chances with a girl because I didn't shave for a "date" we had and she asked if I would. I don't care about it now cause the Wings are playing great.

I have said all along Joe Thornton is the best player in the league. The man can do it all at a high rate. The Bruins were stupid for trading him.

I have been thinking a lot about this lately. With the way Filppula has been playing on the line with Homer and Pavs, when we get Zetterberg and Bertuzzi healthy they should pair those 2 together on a line to see how it goes. It would really spread out our depth and we could possibly be able to roll 3 good scoring lines depending on Lang's play. Homer Pavel Filppula Bert Hank Samuelsson Cleary Lang Franzen Calder Draper Maltby I think these look pretty decent on paper.

Keep in mind I am the biggest Lidstrom fan in the world(my collection of stuff is proof). But when Lidstrom can put up a +/- rating over 100 and skate through 5 guys on his way to the net and score and win 8 Norris trophies in a row then he will be the greatest.

Ya know, I almost forgot just how much I hate the Blues Organization. This just refreshed my memory.

Well, in defense of the leafs. You can't throw a dart and hit an empty seat at ACC unlike the Joe. At least leaf fans show up when the team isn't all that great, unlike the Joe where even when we are winning people don't show up. Don't use the suits argument either cause the leafs have the same problem. Only their suits are better than our suits.
