Great point--the BJs beat us 3 times in 6 games, one of those being 8-2 at the Joe. It doesn't matter. The core of that team is playoff tested (and they passed said test) and will be ready for us. It's not that I WANT to play them as much as I want to avoid the Canucks.

That's exactly how I have it mapped out in my mind. Wings over Ducks, Flames over Nucks in the next round is ideal, IMO. Then anyone besides Pittsburgh (revenge factor, ridiculous Oilers-Islanders "passing the torch" comparisons) or Boston in the finals.

I buy that. Sharks win and it's a best-of-3 with 2 at home, they're in good shape. But if they end up on the brink at 3-1, they'll be nostalgic for the pressure they felt when the series was 2-0 Ducks. Good game so far, the perfect thing to bring me back down from earlier.

Sure was--I was there in fact. And that was also over a perceived officiating jobbing. Browns were down five late but driving. On 4th down, a first down catch was made inside the 10. The Browns then ran up to the line and spiked it. After that happened, they went back and overturned the catch because the ball hit the ground. It did, but you're not allowed to review plays after the next play is run. Allegedly, the official's buzzer went off before the next play, but he never blew his whistle of even flinched. I still doubt that story. I can admit it now, I was a dumb college kid at the time and almost threw one myself but my dad bear-hugged me. I'm thankful to this day that he did that. I'd like to think I'm better than that and just had a lapse in judgment.

Yeah, I don't get that at all either, but for a different reason...they played a great game tonight, but that's not a series-ender if they don't get pwn3d in the first 3 games. So yeah, they kind of did deserve it, because they got themselves in the position where one bad break gets them swept.

Actually no, they're not. As Tyler Palko once said, "I'm so f-ing proud of these guys right now!" We took the absolute best they had to offer and still came out on top. Osgood was tremendous in the 3rd and now can rest up. And of course, Mule. Freaking CLUTCH as always. I love this team. Making it even better was the blubbering about a textbook too many men. You can cheer a shift change to show appreciation for a good shift as they come off. I've seen it plenty of times...so much to criticize with their crap team, city and state, but I can't find fault with cheering.

This. If we can finish this, I'll feel fortunate to have only had to watch them twice. Game 2 had the FS-D feed on NHL Net and I had to listen to game 3 because the Cavaqueers were on FS-O and everything else was blacked out.

That was freaking horrible. They were so sure that "HE HAD OSGOOD BEAT!" that I started to doubt what I saw/heard. Brian Engblom used to be the analyst on their games before Gare. I know that's not the answer to the question, but did they really think Gare was an upgrade? All the guys on Versus have regular local gigs, so that's not it. IDK if Engblom's with another team now, but I haven't seen him. Gare is at his drooling-idiot worst when trying to telestrate plays, as he's doing now. Intelligent analysts explain why something happens. Gare just says what happened: "see, watch the puck bounce off the boards...there it goes!"

I was just thinking about this earlier...what a crap 1st round overall... Vancouver sweeps Boston sweeps Wings very well could sweep Pittsburgh will probably win in 5 So there's basically half of your series with little entertainment value unless you're a fan of one of the teams.
