Bottom line for any QB, get an offensive line in front of your QB and they will do better than if they have lineman on them 10-20 times a game. This makes your previous post about drafting Big Ben even more stupid... If we had on O-Line, we probably wouldn't have this problem with Happy Feet Harrington, and Big Ben wouldn't have been drafted by the Lions.. So, with that said, you contradicted yourself. You went from saying we should've drafted Big Ben, to saying our O-Line was the issue. Which, you are correct on, our O-line sucks, I would rather have USC's O-line. Your logic is going down the toilet... Yeah, no s**t, if we had an O-Line we would be good. Good Call Ditka.. the thing that bugs me is that we should have a good offensive line. Backus, Woody, and Raiola are all good lineman. DeMulling is overrated and Butler is weak. They aren't working together like they could be. If we shouldnt have drafted Roy Williams or Big Ben because of our offensive line, who should we have drafted??

sounds to me like just sour grapes. You can't say s**t until we play each other.......... if MSU wins next week, you have my permission to say all the crap you wanna say....... but for now, take it down a notch.........everybody has a opinion, just cause it isn't the same as yours, it doesn't mean that your right or wrong. whoa. take it down a notch?? I can't talk crap unless the spartans win on saturday?? Even if michigan wins, the spartans still have a better overall record than michigan. If Michigan was 4-0 and steamrollering their opponents and Michigan State was 2-2 looking lackluster, you would be all up in here saying "MICHIGAN FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP". Don't forget that you changed your signature and avater based on michigan's disappointing season. Before the season you went on and on about how Michigan is going to crush every team this year on route to a national championship. All i am saying with this post is that michigan is overrated this year and that is ovious with their first 4 games this season. Me, My Dad and Some of my friends were talking about this last night coming back from Homecoming.......... Michigan was VERY overrated..........however I think that Hart's injury is a factor. (Not using that as a excuse, but if he played we probably would have beaten Wisconsin last night.) They should be steamrolling teams..............thats the coaches fault, not the players.......(manningham and Avant had 100+ recieving yards last night, something that hadn't happened in 20 years.) and as for the talking crap point............that wasn't pointed towards you.....it was to all the people who are saying that MSU is the better team, nobody will know that until 3ish saturday. don't forget that you also don't have braylon edwards. A superstar receiver helped henne and hart last year. Perhaps Henne is not as good as once thought of after last year's season.

no doubt. I have talked to a few other michigan football fans. They act like they don't even watch football anymore. Can any true blue michigan fan come forward and say they will support the team, even when its down in the dumps like this?? Or can anyone tell me what is happening to Michigan this year??
-
Michigan is 2 - 2 right now. They have effectively ended their season, a chance at the Rose Bowl, their chance at a big BCS Bowl isn't going to be good. They already have major problems. But keep drinking the yellow and blue kool-aide. The last time Michigan was .500 this late in the season, they won 8 straight on route to the citrus bowl. With the tougher part of Michigan's schedule coming up, I don't think the wolverines can repeat that task.
-
Penn State is 4-0. At the beginning of the season, I would have easily penciled that a W for michigan in their schedule. Not anymore.
-
as a buckeye fan, let me ask you this question. What do you fear more? A Michigan State high flying offensive or a Michigan team that when you two play, the wolverines may have nothing left to play for...just a chance to ruin the buckeyes season.
-
can you even speak english? If Notre Dame had such a poor defense, then how come Michigan couldn't move the ball against the irish. Michigan State offensively opened it up against the irish, moving the ball.

carr should consider himself lucky to still have a job after this. going 2-2 with still games against michigan state, penn state, minnesota, iowa, and ohio state. Could be a very rough year for big blue.

I will be curious to see if Mike Hart plays for Michigan this saturday. The Wolverines desperately need Hart to play. I noticed with the Spartans this year that Stanton isn't aggressively running the ball around like he did last year. More experience and maturity are a major factor. Michigan State is relying more on running backs Teague, Caulcrick, and Ringer...rather than Stanton
-
I have no doubt that he will play well. Stanton is the most valuable player in NCAA Divison I football. Michigan State needs Stanton to be healthy in these games and the rest of the season. Don't forget the difference in the game after Stanton left the Michigan-Michigan State game last year. Game would have been a different outcome had Stanton remained in the game.

sounds to me like just sour grapes.
-
wow. who would have thought that michigan would start 2-2. The are missing hart and edwards a ton. Michigan fans, will you finally acknowledge that this post has some validation that michigan is overrated.
-
I gotta say that Stanton has little chance, hell......he's overshadowed in the BIG TEN by Smith, Henne, Hart, and Ginn........let alone Vince Young..... Ok, I never went to UofM or MSU. I also have seen your posts, and it has stated that you will eventually go to Michigan. Let me say this to you as a former college football player. You need to take off your UofM blinders. Michigan has been over-rated since 1997. With that said, Stanton is not overshadowed by Smith, nor Henne, or Hart or Ginn. Stanton is by far at this moment the best QB in the Big Ten. Henne has done nothing so far and with his loss tonight against Wisconsin, he is done, along with Hart. Ginn, the Texas loss will hurt. If Stanton is overshadowed by anybody it's Maroney. But, you should be quiet now that Michigan lost again... No, the refs didn't blow it, no excuses, UofM is not as good as you and everybody else thinks. It has been this way since 97. And no, I am not a State grad. I totally agree. Michigan is overrated. Hence that is why i posted the michigan fans confessional to finally acknowledge that your team is overrated. Stanton is playing his ass off. He is easily the most valuable player on ANY NCAA FOOTBALL TEAM. USC can win without Leinhart, Texas can win without Vince Young...but michigan state cannot do anything without stanton as the quarterback.

sorry. double post.

come on gowingsgo, this is just a stupid post. Do you really think the steelers going 15-1 last year was completely 100% because of Big Ben. While Big Ben is going to be a good nfl QB, so is roy williams. The lions needed two things in the 2004 draft. They needed another wide receiver and a running back. I am very pleased with the choices of roy williams and kevin jones for the lions. The thing that your forgetting is that "these are the lions". A closer look at the QB position in lions history shows you that Erik Kramer was probably the best quarterback the lions ever had.....with scott mitchell being a close 2nd..
-
i will admit he has a good chance, but i am still curious to see how michigan state and stanton do in their next two games against michigan and ohio state before i will say heisman.
-
hey. i finally realized why this weekend of pro football is going to be so good. THE LIONS DON'T PLAY!
-
at the last minute, i benched kevin jones and started willie parker. Good move. He got me 11 fantasy football points. Also had steelers defense and they helped me out too.
-
its alright. I have been called worst. I have been here for a long time in letsgowings site. Just haven't done much in the forums til now. I am here to stay.
-
the problem is that michigan state, in the past, has gotten up for the big games but finds a way to blow the easy ones. This is a scary week for michigan state. They just came off a huge win and now play a relative easy team in illinois. This has all the makings for a spartan collaspe. not that i want to see that happen.
-
what killed me most about that play is no one got in brown's face about it. The lions got punched in the face and just took it. This team has no F****** balls. Matt Millen was one of the toughest guys ever to put on pads. I find it hard to believe that he can help create a team that lacks toughness. This team has mental problems. They seem content with just being a below average team. WAKE UP GUYS!
-
First off, Stanton will go higher. The other thing to consider is Stanton may not even go pro this year. He still has 1 more year and he may stay to increase his value in the nfl draft.
-
hey! What about Uwe Krupp??? Nah, I would want Fedorov back.
-
I don't blame that loss on 100% joey. Nothing went right today. The lions got behind big very quickly and thats when joey took a ton of chances. The first interception was luck as it got tapped into the defensive lineman's hands. The interception on the roy williams pass was a bad route ran by roy williams. All the others, were joey's fault. I haven't given up completely, but if joey plays like this much more, then the lions have to make a quarterback and a coaching change. Overall, a lot of things went wrong and the bears played a great game.
