I often get criticized for this...but Jerry Rice was the best football player ever. Hands down he holds more records than anyone. He dominated the game longer than anyone else has. He revolutionized the wide receiver position. His work ethic is classic in he would never settle and always worked hard til the end. Thank you, Jerry Rice. Thank you for the memories.

Michigan state looked pretty good today. Who is this Javon Ringer kid? All of a sudden this running back looks like a complete blue chip. I always thought that Caulcrick is the #1 back this year...kinda nice to have another good back too. All of this should help out Stanton run this offense. I think the spartans could be a darkhorse this year and make a run at a bowl or more. Excellent young kids at michigan state.

If you're from Michigan, you should consider moving south of the border to South Bend - I'm sure they'd be happy to appease your slander down there... Why wouly I move to Indiana? I can't stand the Fighting Irish. Maybe you should stop watching TV, listening to the radio and going on the internet. Otherwise, you might find people with opinions that differ from yours (a crybaby scUM fan, I assume). I really don't care what team you're a fan of, or if you like UM or not. It's juvenile remarks like "crybaby fans" and "scUM" that make you sound bitter. Why don't you just post less inflamatory remarks like timothy. I'm not going to spend all day in here laughing at the Spartans if they lose..... hey i didnt call michigan "scUM" or the fans "Crybabys". I thought it was classless that michigan fans started throwing stuff on the field. And I heard from fans leaving the game that blamed the loss on the ref. I was critical of michigan's play. They had tons of chances to win this game. But they blew it. They are well overrated in that the team is not that good. They have a lot of holes in their team and lots of unanswered questions. As far as cheering against michigan, of course i do. I think ever hated rival fans do. I am not rooting against the school, just the athletics. Michigan doesnt lose many games so it is an upset when they do. Michigan fans can bring me all the heat when the wolverines kick the crap out of state in lansing. I dont care. its not surprising for me if that happens.

the running backs in michigan this year were hearld as one of the best running back cores in michigan football history. As this game has shown, michigan needs hart a ton in order to be an elite team. As far as henne, I think a freshman or a sophmore should NEVER be a starting quarterback in college football. Too important position. Matt Guiterrez should have been the QB last year and this year. I agree. Henne might be a heisman quarterback in a year or 2...but in the meantime, his inability to lead the team to a win in the last quarter costed the game. Michigan had numerous chances. I dont think the first half really killed michigan. They came out strong in the 2nd half. The big play in the 2nd half was the interception. Henne missed a wide open receivered and tried to force it to ecker. I repeatly said that michigan blew it. I dont think notre dame really won that game just that michigan lost it. Your right..michigan shot themselves repeatedly in the foot going 0 for 3 in the redzone. Not scoring anything inside the 20 will kill you as a football team. Am i a little overexcited that notre dame won against michigan?? Yeah....i am. I cant help it tho. I am not ignorant...just maybe a little aggorgant or cocky. This was a big game. As for the comparsions with the lions. Please!! Lions have been this way for years. Michigan has at least made it to the promised land and been best in the country. As a lions fan too, THIS IS THE YEAR!!

It's funny, most of the Spartan fans I know get a bigger kick out of hoping Michigan loses, then they do rooting for their own team to win??? I don't know how you can root for Notre Dame with a straight face - I always pull for the Spartans when they play the Irish.... its easy! As a Michigan State fan, I cheer for 2 teams. I on the other hand, like carr as michigan's coach. But they don't have stuff that the best michigan teams. Those michigan teams were so defensive strong. They would have a ton of defensive players like charles woodson, ian gold, danhi jones, and ty law. Where are those players now. And they always seemed to run the ball good. Anthony Thomas, Tyrone Wheatley, and even Chris Perry. Where are those players now. They had a great wide receiver too like David Terrell, Braylon Edwards, or Desmond Howard. They dont have a running back or receiver. An inexperienced quarterback doesnt help either.

I am a spartan fan. I get more jubilation when michigan loses. When Michigan State wins, I am kinda surprised more than anything.

I am sure that the ref is the one to blame. I felt so bad for him when he called notre dame recovered the fumble only to have him call that brady quinn was down before he fumbled the ball a few mins later. Talk about being hated and then pissing off the fans more.

I agree! Both plays under review were good reviews and the calls went RIGHT. Michigan just doesnt know how to accept the fact that THEY BLEW IT. They had every chance to win this game.

Now maybe the Wolverine fans will focus on something other than Purdue's schedule. yeah..like trying to win a game. Michigan had tons of chances to win this game. They blew it everytime. Michigan needs a lot of work in order to just get thru the big ten schedule.

check out spectadium too. We had a wings chat party one saturday during the wings game at like 3pm. The party lasted well over 10pm. They had march madness basketball on tv too. Half of the tvs had the wings game and half had the basketball games on. we didnt know the difference.. We could still watch the game. Trick is to try and get there an hour before the game just to save some tables...and a huge tv..lol

they have a bar area with like 10 tvs all in a row and they have another section with a 4 big screen tv. As long as no other big event is going on, the wings game should take top priority on the tv. In a nutshell tho, you can't turn around without seeing a tv.
