I like move. My only concern is Foote is going from a talented 3-4 defense to a not so talented 4-3 defense. Still worth the pickup. I wish it was a longer contract tho.

I am not surprised one bit on this post NFM#25. I wonder if the Packers organization can even retire #4 now. They should but maybe it will be forced to happen 5+ years after he retires for good. His legacy has surely been ruined now.

After last night, I began to think on what the NHL can do to avoid circumstances like this from happening again. I began to think about the NFL and how when a Quarterback has the ball and it gets knocked out of his hands (whether by a fumble or pass attempt), the refs are taught to let the play continue...NOT TO BLOW THE WHISTLE...and then review the play later to see what happened. Players are still allowed to fight for the ball in the possibility of the play still going on. Why can't something like this happen in the NHL? Let the play continue..and then if the puck goes in...then they can review it to see if it ligitment or not. To me this seems simple and with the NHL being a reactive league, not a proactive league, I wonder if they will address this during the offseason.

I am fine with that idea. I am against changing the rule of the play is dead once the whistle is blown (or attempting to be blown). I think your opening up more problems that way. However, I am suggesting that the refs eliminate the quick whistle approach. How long does a goalie have to cover up the puck for a play to be dead? 3 secs? 2 secs? I think once you define that...then you can review the play..determine if the goalie had control for the required amount of secs.

and the NFL is out to protect QBs with rules and restrictions. My point is that if a goalie is fighting to cover up the puck...how is that any difference from a football player fighting for the football in a scrum.

I think he is worse than Ocho Cinco and TO. #4 is ruining his legacy this way. A classic case of a player that should have retired a long time ago. Now he is just a joke.

Nah. Bettman will just change the color of the puck this offseason to solve this problem. Plus it will be easier to "follow the puck" on tv to all those idiots that needed the glowpuck. What do you guys think on the puck being PINK?

the stanley cup playoffs are the toughest playoff format of the major 4 sports to win. It is a 2 month war. Plus if it was shorter, the bruises wouldnt be as black and the beards wouldnt be as long.

#1 PSU will never be kicked out of the Big 10. #2 Conference championship games make too much money for their conferences to be eliminated.

I doubt they will leave the big 12. They have too many rivalries in the big 12 anyway. I like the option of Pitt or Sryacuse personally. Plus getting Pitt or the 'Cuse would bolster the basketball conference big time. I am also in favor of the East/West alignment. Michigan-Ohio State would still be a big deal then, almost assuring that it would decide at least who heads to the Big Ten Championship game, where under the North/South game...it is possible for both teams to play once during the season and then turn around and play right back in the championship game. If so, why bother with the season game. Look at it this way. Alabama and Auburn are two of the most bitter rivals. Does there game become meaningless due to playing in the same divison in a conference? HELL NO!!

gotta work til 6pm that day so wont be able to attend. Good thing about working for Walmart is you dont get news or sports scores. Plan is to tape the game and watch it when i get home as if it was live. Intermissions are very short when i do that. lol.

Saw a Big Ten Preview for college hoops the other day and it got me fired up for the upcoming year. I am looking forward to the Spartans this year. The Big Ten will be down this year but it should be wide open, and there for Michigan State to take. Lucas, Allen and Summers are now in their 2nd year and they have to step up and show why they are recruited highly. Morgan has to lead this team and average around 20 pts per game or more. Realisitically if this team makes strides this year...the following year they will have a lot of senior-junior talent which should allow them to be National Title contenders. Everyone already knows they have one of the best college coaches to lead them to a title. Curious to see how Ohio State does with their young kids. Mullens is a freaking stud. Wisconsin should be the biggest challenge to MSU's big ten title the most.
