no matter what happens tonight, i love this run that MSU has made in the tourny. this years team easily is in my top 5 MSU basketball teams, right with the 2000 team & the 2005 team. UNC is the only true great team in this whole tournament. UNC starters came back for this reason, to win the national championship. The crowd has to be a big factor as well as the bench in that all 10 players contribute for MSU to have a shot at beating them. Only the 1985 Villanova team has defeated 3 #1 seeds to win the National Championship.

well that sucked. just got back from the game. I seriously think maybe i was on to something with my patrick roy to the red wings thread. Goaltending has been pathetic. Entertaining game throughout. Just wish they would have pulled out a win for my girlfriend's first game. Oh well. Time for bed. Going to the Spartans basketball practice tomorrow. GO GREEN, GO WHITE!

GO WINGS! I will be attending the game tonight. Haven't been to a wings game in 2 years so i am excited. I think I have a winning record whenever i go to a game so thats good news.

i remember in gym class playing floor hockey. You couldn't score a goal for your team without a girl touching the puck first. So we would pass it to the girl early and then score the goal. I bet NHL can adapt similar rules.

i get it...April Fools. HA HA HA!! Woman, get back in the kitchen and cook something good for dinner. And get me another beer.

gotta work that day. Going to the game on thursday tho. -
I dont get how Michigan fans can hate Izzo. He runs a first-class team, his kids tend to stay there all 4 years, never a peep of scrutiny of program violations. Easily one of the top 5 coaches in college hoops.

Ford Field is holding open practice for free from all 4 teams on friday...followed by a college all star game. I will be in attendence. I cannot wait.

Talk about being bitter, envy. Guess everyone is envious of MSU's sports programs lately. GO GREEN!! GO WHITE!!

Anyone want to question this team's heart? This team can play with anyone, anytime. The 2005 run has always been my fav MSU run in that they were a 5th seed and made an amazing run thru Austin, beating both Duke and Kentucky in the same weekend to get to the final four. That regional final against Kentucky was the craziest MSU game i have ever seen. This team is ranking right up there in their run to the final four. I am impressed with Izzo in how is outcoaching the competition in the likes of Self and Pitno. Get ready Detroit, the Spartans are heading home.

After last weekend's mishap, I took extra precautions to make sure I got them in time today. Aussie, do you eliminate your lowest week total to make the scores tighten up? I am pretty sure that is gonna be last weekend picks. Time to reclaim my top slot. Friday: Tampa Bay @ Washington Toronto @ Buffalo NY Islanders @ Detroit New Jersey @ Chicago Vancouver @ Colorado Edmonton @ Anaheim Saturday: NY Rangers @ Pittsburgh Los Angeles @ Nashville Boston @ Toronto Buffalo @ Montreal Carolina @ New Jersey Philadelphia @ NY Islanders Ottawa @ Atlanta Florida @ Dallas Columbus @ St Louis Minnesota ]@ Calgary Phoenix @ San Jose Sunday: Nashville @ Detroit St Louis @ Columbus Ottawa @ Tampa Bay Boston @ Philadelphia Vancouver @ Chicago Minnesota @ Edmonton Colorado @ Anaheim

I grew up watching him and Kaline broadcast tiger games on local tv here. Very sad to see him go. One of the best to ever wear the english D. If anyone has an video or just a tidbit of kaline and kell broadcasting games, I sure would like to hear some of their tandum.

Sorry. April 12th is Easter Sunday so there is no way I am going to meet up to watch the Red Wings play on that day. April 11th is questionable.
-
I lost 2 of my sweet 16 teams, Wake and Florida State. Other than that I am not too bad. i am 23 out of 32.
-
Agh! I realized last night that I forgot to make my friday picks. This should open the door a bit for everyone to challenge me for the top slot. Saturday: Dallas @ San Jose Toronto @ Montreal NY Islanders @ Ottawa Buffalo @ NY Rangers Washington @ Carolina Columbus@ Florida Atlanta @ Tampa Bay Vancouver @ Phoenix Sunday: Philadelphia @ Pittsburgh New Jersey @ Boston Los Angeles @ Chicago Edmonton @ Minnesota Ottawa @ NY Rangers Phoenix @ Anaheim Colorado @ San Jose

nope. Michigan has a hard time keeping banners raised to the rafters.

denver has 12th pick overall. I doubt they want to give that up. Keep in mind that Cutler is only 26 years old too. I would trade 1st pick in round 1 (1st overall) and 1st pick in round 2 (33rd overall) in exchange for Jay Cutler and denver's 2nd round pick (44th overall i think). Denver would go for that I believe and the Lions can still use their other picks on d-line like they should.
-
Jay Cutler has demanded a trade from Denver. C'mon Lions and make this move. I would love to have Cutler here in Detroit. Wouldn't even mind giving up the 1st overall pick for him.
-
Congrats to Michigan in making it in. Good luck against Clemson and then likely Oklahoma. I doubt Michigan can get to the sweet 16.

MSU is a #2 seed in the Louisville field. Plays Robert Morris first game. I like the field but not sure if this team can get to the final four. Elite 8 is very possible tho. Louisville is a tough team.

Rankings: #1 North Carolina #2 Pittsburgh #3 Connecticut #4 Memphis #5 Louisville #6 Oklahoma #7 Michigan State If MSU wins out and wins the big ten tourny, should they get a #1 seed in a bracket? Pitt, UCONN, Louisville all in the Big East. 2 of those teams might slip to a #2 seed. If Oklahoma doesn't win the Big 12, how can you include them in the #1 seed if MSU wins the big ten outright. Just something I thought about. Also I think Michigan needs 2 wins in the Big Ten Tourny for any shot in the NCAA tournament.

classless move mindfly. This game is so much fun if you just remember its a game and to have fun. I don't think I have won a weekend at all this year but I am consistant. Thats why I am on top of the leaderboard.
