Ok, I am watching weightlifting and having lunch and I heard the announcers say "That was a very good ****** lift". After cleaning up the mess from spitting up my drink...I am like WTF?!?!?! I heard of clean and jerk in weightlifting but not the "****** lift". I can't believe the announcers can say that with a straight face. Enlighten me folks, because to me it sounds like something done in a porno.

I enjoyed the womens sabre in the fencing event yesterday. Amazing footwork they have to do in this sport. Nice to see team USA sweep the medals in that event. Love the swimming so far. I cant wait for the track events to start.

I am officially declaring my team out for this year. I work 10-7 that sunday and there is no way to adjust my schedule. Good Luck everyone!

because of the 12 hr time delay, NBC is reporting that they will be showing a lot of live coverage in their primetime coverage. Works for me.

thanks for the info man. Lot easier than remembering all the channel numbers that have coverage. I loved the opening ceremonies last night. From the drums to the footprint fireworks to the thai chi...it was all amazing. Lightning of the calderon was amazing as well as the LCD mat that they had that athletes added to it whenever they stepped on it. Very cool show. A+

See I look at this past Super Bowl as one of the greatest upsets ever or Rudlon Gardner's wrestling upset over a heavily favorited Russian in the 1996 olympic games. (sorry if i misspelled or dont know the full details...too lazy to look it up) Appy State beating in Michigan barely makes my top 5 greatest upsets of all time.

NBC owns the olympic rights and is going to show a lot of their coverage on primetime under a tape delay. CBC shows more live coverage...traditionally always has. Sucks is people with Directv like me, don't get cbc. I am stuck watching NBC.

I can see your point and its hard not to argue against it. I was more arguing that Michigan's loss to Appy State cannot be compared to MSU's hoops loss to GVSU. It was an exhibition and the game did not count. If your staying it doesnt matter then ESPN should be starting their top stories with the NFL upset of the year. The Lions defeated the defending super bowl champion Giants, 13-10 last night. It was only an exhibition but to some people, the game still counts. Give me a break!! Michigan fans, go back to your cracks on how MSU cant beat Central Michigan or Indiana....or how Michigan owns us...how we are little brother. The Aussies also went 1-4 in the 2004 summer olympics, missing the medal rounds completely. I believe the Aussie's did well in the 2000 summer games, but got upset in the medal rounds but you got a better chance of looking/remembering that. I think the woman's team will medal, finishing behind the US team and men's team will finish out of the medal placement tho. I think its USA, Argentina, Spain in the medal placement. Aussies i think have the easiest road to get in the basketball region based on their oceanica regional. What do they have to beat Guam to get in???

This is college football. Michigan and Ohio State fans mouth off and talk smack about each other all the time. Michigan State and Michigan does the same all the time. It's all in fun. Its insane to compare both upsets tho. If the Lions beat the Giants tonight in an NFL preseason game....does that mean that the Lions are better than the Giants?? NO WAY! If the Lions beat the Giants tonight, is it one of the greatest upsets of all time? HELL NO!!

Since when is being confident in your team, mouthing off. I am confident that MSU can take advantage of Michigan's rebuilding season this year. Is Michigan a better football school historically? YES. Is Michigan gonna be a better football school from here on out than MSU? Probably. But for this year, it's Sparty Time!!

Michigans record after that game was 0-1 while Michigan State was 0-0. Michigan's upset to Appy State is one of the greatest upsets OF ALL TIME!! Michigan fans dont like it but its part of your football history now. 10 years from now, no one is gonna remember GVSU's EXHIBITION win over MSU..outside of Michigan fans. Appy State's win over Michigan will stand the test of time and will always be brought up whenever they do a "greatest sports upsets of all time" pieces.

Jets released Pennington. Pack get a 4th round draft pick and if Favre does well in NY, the Pack get more(better) draft picks. To me, I dont see the Jets as that good of a team and I dont think he can turn that team around. The only thing they have going for them is the Bills and Dolphins are terrible. Its not gonna take much for the Jets to finish 2nd in the divison behind the Pats.

or at least just win your first game at home.
