I take it the Western and Eastern Conference predictions are due prior to the start of the 1st round. I like this format tho. Worth at least next year to see if we still like it.

What happens then if you pick the wrong team. Do you lose 3 pts then?

Do you want to then award a point for picking it correctly, and then taking points off or awarding nothing for missing the mark.

I think points should double per round 1-2-4-8..something like that. make a rule that you have to make all your picks and not join in for the later rounds under that system. If I get 1 outta 4 series and you get 2 outta 4 series right in the first round but we both get everything right from the 2nd round and beyond....you want to make sure that you are ahead of me in points.

You can make the claim that Holland didnt have much to do with 97, 98 and even 2002 cup. You cannot make that claim on this year's cup. Credit goes to Kenny Holland for this cup. Great Job Kenny!!

you could do something like this. here are the seeds for the West #1 Detroit #2 San Jose #3 Minnesota #4 Anaheim #5 Dallas #6 Colorado #7 Calgary #8 Nashville You would pick the 4 teams to advance to divisonal, 2 teams to advance to conference finals , and the 1 team to advance to stanley cup finals Example To Divisonal: Detroit, Calgary, Minnesota, Anaheim To Conference: Detroit, Anaheim To Stanley Cup: Detroit The hardest part is making sure that everyone knows that they reseed after the first round. Other than that its a pretty simple format. Maybe we can have 2 playoff games next year. I wouldnt mind keeping track of this game next year.

the only other player to have his name on a championship as many times as Richard is Bill Russell. He has won the NBA title 11 times. It is an amazing accomplishment. I doubt I will ever see someone win more than 6 like Mark Messier did in this modern NHL>
