we did it earlier these playoffs on a friday night and only 3 people showed up. We have had success on Saturdays, hence that is why we are trying this again.

The Pistons-Celtics game is on ABC. ABC is not ESPN.

No doubt about that but what about the Boston or New England casual fan. Forcing them to choose between their Celtics and the Stanley Cup Finals which doesnt have any of their teams, is suicide for the NHL.

I mentioned what the NHL needs to do. Since the NBA released its schedule first and plays the Eastern-Western-Eastern Conference schedule, playing a game every night.......why not set up the NHL to take advantage of the series least likely to draw a hockey crowd. You cannot tell me that it is more likely to have a Boston sports fan watch hockey over there Celtics than a San Antonio sports fan choosing hockey over their Spurs. NHL should have scheduled their games against the Lakers-Spurs series than the Pistons-Celtics.

Eastern Conference is all that matters to ESPN. If Tampa Bay played Detroit in a series, he probably would say Tampa Bay in 7 as well.

Gonchar is a good D-men. I wouldn't say that he is #4 on Detroit's D, but I still would take Lidstrom and Rafalski over Gonchar. Rafalski fits the red wings more than Gonchar would.

Just thought I would share this with everyone; While eating my breakfast this morning, I turn on ESPN's Mike&Mike in the morning. Now I dont put much stock into ESPN or Mike&Mike about their hockey info but what I saw next shocked me. They go thru their predictions of NBA playoffs like Boston or Cleveland winning their series and then move onto the NHL. Mike Golic goes first and calls the wings-stars series "OVER". And then Greenberg goes "it happens every 33 years, I am predicting the Stars will comeback against the Red Wings and win the series". After nearly choking on my breakfast after hearing that, Greenberg next goes "if the comeback doesnt come from the Stars then the Flyers will comeback against the Pens..mark my words, it will happen in one of these series". Greenberg has always been a weasel for me and like I said first, I don't put much stock into this prediction. I was just shocked. Thanks Mike&Mike and ESPN for ruining my breakfast.

I gotta work today til 5pm so I have to tape the game and watch it when i get back home. I also tried the "can't come into work boss, the cup changes everything" but that doesnt work too well.

to me this team lacks HEART. I am not overally shocked with the pitching but the hitting is surprising me. If I was Leyland, I would tell my starting pitcher to go peg the next batter in the back next time around, starting a brawl. A good old fashion brawl might be just what this team needs to get fired up about something. Plus it gels the team remarkably.

at this point, he can be out for game 5 as well, making him only available in a game 6 if needed. I would assume rest him up as much as we can.
