College coaches have seen what Rick Pitno and Mike Montgomerie effect has had on coaches taking that leap from colleges to the NBA. Both those coaches were sought after in the NBA and got jobs, only to find out their coaching skills dont transfer and the end result is they are fired within a few years of coaching. besides, Izzo is a better college coach then NBA coach.

dallas and san jose series has been close. so has the boston-montreal matchup. There is parity among some of the teams but I think this year is just the case that Detroit and Pittsburgh are miles above every other team in their respected conference.

red wings need to advance first in order to worry about lineup matchups in the stanley cup finals.

I dont like to post something without a source but I heard this on the Jim Rome show this afternoon and I was shocked. Apparently Rich Rod has given the #1 jersey not to a WR who has earned the right to wear the historical jersey but to a freshman DB. I tried to look this up but got no where. Like I said, I heard it on the Jim Rome radio show and normally he is pretty good about not talking about something without it at least being accurate. I am interested in this article because if this is true, this is a slap in the face on years and years of tradition. Braylon Edwards was quoted by Rome as saying that he is gonna give Rich "the call". I hope more alumni do this because as much as I hate UM, they have a rich tradition that shouldnt be ignored. Also curious to hear what Michigan fans feel about Boren transferring to The Ohio State University. Mallett leaving is one thing being he is a QB that doesnt fit the system of Rich Rods, but Boren was a starting offense lineman...entering his jr year. The whole thing is just a mess to me and wonder what is next. Will Rich Rod change the helmet or jersey style?? The possibilities are endless and scary.

I like the idea of having all your picks done ahead of time before the playoffs begin and then rewarding you based on if your team actually makes it as far as you predicted. That would defeat the round by round predictions. But the current game is all about the 1st round. Maybe thats why Montreal fans partied after round 1, because they picked well in this game early on.
