NO MAAS NO MAAS!!

Not to mention Franzen. Anyway we can just use Hudler, Mac, Helm, Lebda, Lilja for the rest of the game? The rest of the game could be pretty ugly.

3-1!!! Unbelievable!!

I am liking Aquillino Lopez in the bully. I want him to be the next Tigers closer than Zumaya.

This year and next year too then....make the Wings desperate for a goalie then. If they can somehow look towards Bill Ranford comeback, that would be even better for Ryan Miller.
-
ok look at it this way. If Ryan Miller wants to become a Red Wing's starting goalie, then he needs the Avs to beat the Wings. The Red Wings need to "think" that Osgood isn't the "guy" so they go after the goalie free agent, where Ryan Miller waits.

Do you think that the Avalanche have kidnapped Aflac, knowing that he is the secret behind the wings playoff success so far this year?? Anyone check to see if a ransom note was left?

Game 4 is covered by Versus Game 5 by NBC Game 6 & 7 by Fox Sports Detroit Problem is that game 6 might not even be necessary, therefore this is PERHAPS the last game for FSD this year. Conference and Cup Finals are broadcasted only on Vs or NBC.

Shame on you Canada. This means war!!

I am confused. This sounds to me like this should be in the water cooler. How is this not by now??

NY Jets (3-10) The Pick: James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State* 5. Atlanta (3-9) The Pick: Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville 6. Oakland (4-9) The Pick: Jake Long, OT, Michigan 7. Kansas City (4-9) The Pick: Michael Oher, OT, Ole Miss* 8. Baltimore (4-9) The Pick: Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona 9. Cincinnati (5-8) The Pick: Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia* 10. Pittsburgh (9-4) The Pick: Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU* 29. Green Bay (11-2) The Pick: Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois* 30. San Francisco (from Indianapolis (11-2)) The Pick: James Hardy, WR, Indiana* 31. Dallas (12-1) The Pick: Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas* 32. New England (13-0) The Pick: No Pick, Pick forfeited. * - Underclassman Pretty interesting. I don't think the Lions will go after a QB and if they do, it just proves how clueless this team is. The Lions need an O-man in order to have a QB and a RB be effective on this team. I would love to see Jake Long, Mike Oher or even cornerback Cason on this team, but no. The Lions had to go 6-2 before they decided to be the Lions. Anyway, tell me what you think.

Slapshots & Strikeouts I: LGW's Fantasy Baseball League
timothy1997 replied to timothy1997's topic in Other Sports
I tried to get this league going for this year and only got 3-4 people interested. If we can get more people interested, then I have no problem having a fantasy baseball league. Like i said, maybe next year. -
Disclaimer: Yes, this is still a HOCKEY site & no, nothing happened to Matt. A bunch of us in the other sports thread were interested in doing a fantasy baseball league this year & when I asked Matt if he wanted to be commish for the official one, he was not interested but had no problem with having an "official" one here. Anyway, registration for the first annual LetsGoWings.com Fantasy Baseball League is now open! This is a 12-team, head-to-head league hosted by Yahoo. Scoring and draft information is below: Cost: FREE! Draft: Saturday, March 15th @ 8pm EST Starting Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL Scoring Categories: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP To join this league, you go to this page and then the ID is 22427 and the password is letsgowings. You MUST be able to attend the LIVE draft as well. Please don't sign up if you can't make it! Experienced players only, please. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask away. Also if anyone can come up with a logo for this league, that would be greatly appreciated.

Playboy666, welcome to the LGW forums. In the water cooler and especially these sports threads, it is wrong to make the assumption that everyone is a Lions fan here. WE , referring to letsgowings.com, are a mix of NFL fans cheering for various teams in this and any other NFL thread. Any just so you know, I am a Lions fan here. Welcome to the boards.

Pryor may not even suit up for the buckeyes this year.

I am not saying this was a dumb move. Packers have a proven track record of grabbing good qbs whom have backed up #4 (brunell, hasselbeck to name a few) so no doubt they have the right approach. I would have made the move myself if i was the packers brass. I am just saying this situation really sucks for Rodgers. He has to show he is mentally tough and push thru this to be the "guy" for this team.
-
Of course its an indictment on Rodgers. You give him the keys to the car but put another driver just in the car in case. This was much more than just a QB to fill roster space. If that was the case, the Packers should have went after JT O'Sullivan. If I am Rodgers, I am pissed because now I am under added pressure and gotta wonder am I really the QB of the future for this team. And if #4 decides to come back, what do you do? Do you cut Brohm? Do you cut Rodgers? Do you trade either player? The next QB in GB needs one important person to help him thru, a therapist.
-
I knew the Lions really wanted to give Stanton a shot with Detroit (whether that is the right move or not is up for debate) so I wasnt surprised when they passed on Henne or Brohm, but no excuses for Vikes and Bears. They could have and probably should have made the move for a QB.
-
when i saw them make that move, i literally thought that "wow..they still believe in rex". I don't get it. The Bears have a lot of pieces to win a championship, they are missing one huge piece at QB. Why not go after Brohm, an NFL ready qb to step in if Rex is Rex next year.
-
i am beginning to feel sorry for Aaron Rodgers. Not only does he have to either be the guy after the legend or worry about the legend coming back, but he now finds himself in question of even being the "guy" based on GB going after Brohm. Brohm is an NFL ready quarterback and if Rodgers struggles, there has to be a short leash there. Sucks to be him at this moment. Makes you wonder if he wishes he would have been drafted by another team just to get more of an opportunity.
-
I like this pick for the dolphins. Henne is given a quality chance to be an NFL quarterback in Miami. Good luck to him.
-
I like the Dizon pick better than Cheriluis pick from earlier.
-
Henne is dropping like a rock. His best shot now is Miami. Almost every team next already has a QB and have other needs to fulifill.
