How do you turn a team around? Look at what the Chiefs did. Dorsey, Albert and Flowers. *sighs*

tell me again why the Lions didn't trade up to grab CB Jenkins. I saw him fall and fall and I am like..MAKE A MOVE MILLEN!!! Sure enough he goes to the Cowboys. Cowboys made a bunch of moves and it looks like its paying off with Felix Jones and Jenkins..and they pick again soon...sheesh.

    Budaj or Theodore now?

Tyler Weiman was the Colorado goalie that suited up as a result of Theodore leaving.

2008 Playoff Picks Game: Round 2

Since I am near the very bottom, I have nothing to lose by making these picks. Here's to hoping that I am wrong. DET/COL: 4-2 SJ/DAL: 4-3 MON/PHI: 4-1 PIT/NYR: 4-3

aren't you biased? I really think Chris Long will end up with Oakland like his dad did. That would be sweet.

    Metro Detroiters... Round 2 Gatherings

I am interested in a Round 2 get together but as I thought, my work schedule conflicts with the wings games. The 2 saturday slots are horrible for me. I got plans this saturday after work and for may 3 potential game, i work til 4pm. My days off from work are normally tuesdays and thursdays so get to see those games, but it wouldnt make sense to meet up for a 10pm party.

Its Beck, not Beak. and which Long. Chris Long is going to be a good pro as well. Ryan is going to be a good pro under the right system. The problem is that if Ryan doesn't go 3 to Atlanta, he might slip down to KC or Baltimore or another team might move up to grab him. He is not going to St. Louis, Oakland, Jets, or Patriots. I think the top 5 picks are playing this way out: #1 Miami---Jake Long #2 St. Louis--Vernon Gholston #3 Atlanta--Glen Dorsey #4 Oakland--Chris Long #5 KC-- Leodis McKelvin Makes you wonder where Darren McFadden will end up. I dont like it but #7 New England will pick him up. KC might trade out of the 5 slot to a team that wants a running back but Chiefs need cornerbacks. Keith Rivers is going to be a steal on draft day too. I could see New England picking him up as well.

    2008 NFL Draft Thread

I heard the conversation with Kiper and I wasnt offended at all. Jake Long has admitted the toughest player in college for him to block has been Gholston and Harvey. Kiper didnt say anything that wasn't already said. Yeah its a gamble taking an offensive lineman #1 when Gholston (who will be a stud in the NFL) and Matt Ryan (which the Dolphins have no QB) is on the board. Nothing wrong with taking Jake #1....he has all the makings of a Jumbo Elliott, Tony Boselli. I just wish the Lions could build a team around Jake.

I agree with this except Mendenhall. I dont want them to draft him. It is pointless to draft a running back when you have too many offensive line problems. I want to see Clady as the Lions first round pick.

let me try this again. Can we get a headcount on who is interested in going to watch the wings play with fellow LGW members. I am off that day and the next so I am open for anything, as long as its legal. I perfer Troy because I think its a central location for a lot of people but open to other suggestions. Thoughts?

Wings Game 6 pre-empted by the Pope.

Remember the Pope will be at Yankee Stadium. I would just love him to throw a baseball first pitch style.

You forgot Rivalred that the waitress shows us her tattoo. Party was great! Good seeing Hockey Matters again and meeting Rivalred. Good food, great seats (in front of the tv), nice win. Red Wings Nation still needs YOU!! Please share your ideas for the next party.

    Philly fans have class.

I don't even need to look at the video. "philadelphia" and "class" just don't go together. Philadelphia is the city that booed or threw snowballs (not sure which one it was) at Santa Claus. That should tell you everything you need to know.

This is what we need the most in these parties. How do we ensure that you can attend a RWN party? Does Saturday work best? What about location? Do we need a party downriver?

I was apart of a group anywhere between 20-40 people that would always hang out and watch red wing games with back in the late 90s. Even planned an all day party in the summer one time. After we got rid of that nervous first party, things were always a blast. I am dating my gf whom I met originally thru one of these parties. I mostly dont get it why that group was so successful and this one is struggling. As far as me for tomorrow, there is not much in Marine City and I have stated, and always will remain loyal to the notion that I will travel anywhere to see my Red Wings play. Champps or Buffalo Wild Wings is fine with me.
