i would have planned a party last saturday but i had to work. Go figure I am off this saturday and could have had the party that day....if only the red wings were playing.

I was watching the wings game, had the tigers game on the computer showing me updates and as soon as the wings game was up...I switched the channel to see the ending. I then turned on the Indians game to see Borowski blow up both one of my starters Westbrook's great outing and my closer burn my fantasy team up. I dropped 2 slots last night based on 3 players I had that played (Bonderman, Westbrook, Borowski). YIKES!

HOLY CRAP!! Is this the game that springboards the Tigers bats back? I hope so. Nice comeback win. Let's build on this win and get a winning streak going.

i do not get this team. Where is this team that was supposed to be "good"? All the talk was that their offense would be great, that there only weakness was their bully. This team has much more holes than just that. This team lacks passion, lacks heart. Thats right..i called out the Tigers heart. I say keep and START the players that have shown something like Thomas and Inge. Hopefully granderson can help when he comes back but i doubt it. Do you realize this team is one of the worst slugging % teams out there? Who would predicted that from the team with Magglio, Shef, and Cabrera. I am officially losing my paitence with this team. I am gonna find something else better to do with my sunday afternoon than watch this 11-0 beatdown of the Tigers.

its because its the NCAA. When they played the basketball tournament, they weren't allowed to use any advertisement present. In fact, when they played at the Palace a few years ago, they had to cover up all the Detroit Pistons logos. Of course the irony in this whole thing is that they want to cover up logos for an NCAA sporting event but have no problem with the Capital One Citrus Bowl. Also, and I am curious if anyone else knows this..but you cannot buy beer at a big event like the Frozen or Final Four. Can you imagine if they told everyone they weren't going to sell beer at the Joe for the playoffs? There would be a riot!

I am really hoping that Boston College takes the title against Notre Dame. Not only did ND knock off Michigan, but they knocked off MSU too. They must be stopped.

Just looking at some old footage of Red Wing history today. I didn't realize but the Red Wings had "Joe Louis Arena" across the blue line before. Must have been in the early 80s because I sure as hell don't remember seeing that before.

I just finished watching the 2001-2002 Red Wing Championship DVD and they had a red, white, blue ribbon behind the net for 9/11. That didn't seem to bother anyone.
