new mock draft They have the lions picking Derrick Harvey. I am fine with this pick. I also wouldn't mind Antoine Cason or Ryan Clady. Both are going to be studs in the NFL and can't be a bad move on the Lions part.

I am rooting for the Packers this weekend based on wanting to see a Green Bay-New England Super Bowl that should be one of the best matchups ever in the big game. If #4 can beat Brady in XLII, then I am prepared to call #4 the greatest QB ever. If Brady beats #4, then I have to lead towards Brady as the best ever. As far as my personal feelings for #4, I look at the Red Wings for example. Chelios was Public Enemy #1 before he joined the Wings. I have gone from flat out hating Chief Runnin' Mouth, to admiring his work ethic and playing ability, to buy his red wing jersey. I would think that #4 would be received the same way for me if he wore the Honolulu Blue.

What your responding back with is making the arguement that sports fans can afford entertainment expenses like season tickets, just not season tickets at the high price red wings end. Take me for an example. I can't afford season tickets for whatever sport, only individual game tickets. Tigers tickets are quite affordable for me but no way can I afford Red Wing tickets. It's all about the price of the tickets, not the unemployment or economy.

Article good article. He played lights out last night. Hossa will make an impact wherever he goes.
-
why then are Tigers season tickets flying off the shelf then?

I agree. The Packers for the majority of their history haven't even played all of their games in Green Bay, playing 4 games for the longest time at Milwaukee. The Packers are more of Midwest's team, Wisconsin's team than Green Bay's team. Not to mention the hotel accomendations would be terrible in Green Bay.

3 pts for regulation win 2 pts for OT/Shootout win 1 pt for OT/Shootout loss 0 pts for regulation loss

i thought this topic was "McCarty Trivia" not "Hockey Trivia". We got enough "hockey trivia" threads that get started here and there. I WANT MORE MAC TRIVIA!!

Technically, cold weather cities like Detroit have already had a SB.

#4 being misspelled, mispronounced is funny because of this.

excellent ranking. I am up to #255 overall in my yahoo fantasy hockey rotisserie league.

If the Giants can get to #4. If they can't, this game is over.

either way you slice it, the Super Bowl will have great stories leading up to the game. --If New England makes it, the talk of the town will be about the perfect season and will overshadow any other story, including Favre if the Packers make it. Also experts will debate on if Tom Brady is the greatest QB ever, totally downplaying the other qb on the other side even if Favre and the Pack are there. Brady makes it to the Super Bowl and wins it again, there is no more debating about the greatest qb ever is. --If San Diego makes it and plays Green Bay, then the focus will shift to the NFC and Favre & the ol' man topic will ran amuck. Favre will be asked "is this your last game" many times. Like stated above, if Favre makes it and Brady doesn't, then the greatest qb debate will have a strong case for Favre. --If San Diego makes it and plays the Giants, then they will go back to the 2004 NFL Draft and how the Chargers selected Eli Manning & then traded him to the Giants for Rivers. Also having another Manning in the Super Bowl will be a special story.
-
I did not see the Giants beating the Cowboys here today. Just goes to show you that regular season matchups mean squat. If #4 doesn't get the Packers to the Super Bowl next Sunday, he will never take the team there again. Green Bay has a golden opportunity to make it to Zona and they probably are the only team that has a shot against the Pats. Pats-Pack super bowl.
-
First off, fixed the response you made earlier. Second, nice predictions.
-
Probably the best playoff game of this season today. To have San Diego lose both LT and Rivers and still play well is unbelievable. Hats off to Chargers today in an incrediable win. It's too bad the Chargers will probably be crushed in Foxboro next sunday tho.

Article Surprised no one mentioned this yet. Mantei could pan out and give some bully help.

My point is it is not a given that Inge will be traded like I might have been when the Tigers acquired Cabrera. Good news for me and Rwfan007, whom like Inge as a Tiger.
-
Football, Basketball, and Baseball are more of a sport in America than hockey. Hockey was one of the "main 4" but not anymore.
-
who said Inge is no longer a Tiger?? Inge Update
-
so how did you ever become a wings fan then? Thought you would be a Bruins fan then.
-
Its ok. I look forward to your offseason announcements. I can't wait for the upcoming Tigers season next year. Anyone go to Tigersfest this weekend?
-
kinda slow there on the updates rwfan007 . Cards trade Rolen to Jays for Glaus Good move for both teams I believe.

couldn't imagine a worst start for the Packers today.
