Pick your divison champions for the western conference
-
What does ESPN have to do with this article? Howe, Yzerman and Gretzky aren't as a big of a household name to the causal sports fan anymore. Wings did not win the western conference, the ducks did. Tigers didn't even win the divison. Illitch doesn't deserve to be in the top 100. Maybe top 200, but not 100.

ok..first four games were great. Next four are @Washington TAMPA BAY @Chicago DENVER Lions should go at least 2-2 in this stretch. They go 3-1 in this stretch, I want the scientist that makes the kool-aid so I can have it put on tap, replacing my water in the faucet.

yikes. triple post
-
this stuff is great!
-
what flavor is this kool-aid? it's delicious.

congrats to packers and especially fans of Brett Farve. Nice to see the old man still has game and still something driving him to keep playing. Well I admit I have never been a fan of Farve, damnit to hell I respect the man. I hated him because everytime my Lions were any good, #4 for the Pack stood in our way. Fast Forward to this year and yet here we are again. So far only 2 teams showed up to play in the NFC Central and the Lions have to contend with the Pack for the divison title. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way. My question especially to pack fans is where does brett farve rank in the greatest QBs ever. IMO, the list is this. #1 John Elway #2 Johnny Unitas #3 Joe Montana #4 Brett Farve #5 Peyton Manning #6 Dan Marino #7 Steve Young #8 Warren Moon #9 Frank Tarkenton #10 Tom Brady

I agree with you. It's eva that believes Bonds is gettin a raw deal.
-
now your are making the assumption that the NHL and WHA are the same, not to mention different era. All I am saying is if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, then it must be a duck. Barry is guilty of performancing enhancement drugs just as OJ Simpson is guilty of murder. Both are guilty in court of public opinion.

Oh so close in the MSU-Wisconsin game. Plenty of offense and tons of times where previous state teams would have called it a game and gave up. The team fought hard and showed that this is clearly not John L's Spartans. Good Job state in a loss and I am looking forward to them at least making an impact in the big ten race this year.
-
Getting Renteria will be hard enough and now you want to pry A-Rod out too, keep dreaming buddy. Tigers most likely will make at the most 2 big offseason moves. Guillen is playing 1st next year so that leaves the SS position open. The way I see it there are 3 options. A-Rod, Renteria, or Jack Wilson. All would be a helluva improvement than Ramon Santiago at short. Also, the Tigers are one of the likely distantions for Barry Bonds too.

The more I think about tomorrow's MSU-Wisconsin game, the more I am looking forward to it. This is a good test for this spartans team in an attempt to show if they are a much improved program or just same ol' sparty. Entering this season I thought the Spartans would go 7-5....and that is a good season compared to the recent John L. days, now they have an outside shot at turning some heads in the big ten (if they haven't already). It all starts tomorrow in Madison. Oh and as far as the Michigan-Northwestern game. I expect the Wolverines to blow them out by at least 21 pts...probably a 48-27 type game.
-
It is totally different. What I find hard to believe is the Hall of Fame involvement here. They are excepting the baseball WITH the asterisk. That is basically the Hall saying they agree with this ruling in the court of "public opinion". I agree. Barry was and IS a helluva player. What people go crazy about is that his stats went up late in his career with everything from players past shows that you don't hit that many home runs past your prime.
-
If the Tigers get A-rod somehow, they will most likely put Alex at SS and move guillen to 1st. Inge isn't going anywhere.
-
Its just a baseball. Bonds is assumed guilty in the court of public opinion and there is nothing he can do to change that. Sure the ball is being defaced but his record probably won't. Sports fans hold records very closely when it comes to baseball, far much more than hockey or football records. That being said, that is why people are so upset over this issue.

I was thinking of having a season kickoff party this year on Saturday, October 6th. Wings play the Blackhawks at 8:30pm so we can meet up at night to watch the game. Not sure about location but open to all suggestions. What does everyone think?
-
I wish. A-rod is going to the cubbies tho.
-
It's offical. Griese will start for the Bears against the Lions this sunday.
-
tigers for 2008 need to make a move for Renteria, move guillen to 1st base. Dump Casey. Sign (and I can't believe I am saying this) Barry Bonds.

I liked the Bills jerseys of the 90s. Those were much better than the crap they wear now I hated the Cowboys growing up. The whole "who is a better running back: Emmitt or Barry" was here big time. Regardless, the cowboys jersey is classic and the one the casual football fan can identify with the most. Much more than the Green Bay Packers.
-
Top 5 yes, but not #1. This is #1 The chargers new ones are horrible. I agree with the throwbacks tho. Those are classic... these weren't too bad either tho... By far the worst ones of the 3
-
so for those that are interested, where do you want to meet up at??
-
I personally loved when the Lions wore their throwback jerseys and wish they would wear them again. sorry I couldn't find a better picture football fans. Lions did win that game BTW.
-
The point I was trying to make is if the bears make a qb change and put Griese in, this could be the change in the bears offense that they need. If rex plays like he normally does, Lions will win.
