    My FF team

I had a great week 1 for fantasy football. Too bad all the big points were on the bench. Despite that, I am only trailing by 9 pts with my kicker Nedney left. C'mon field goals!!
  2. This sunday's game against the Vikings is huge. I really think that if we can establish the run and hold the Vikings to under 20 pts in this game, against a divison opponent...then we can compete with the divison. This divison is not that good and like i said earlier in threads..I really think the lions can win 7-8 games and be in 2nd in divison. Chicago lost to a good San Diego team. Bears dominated LT most of the game tho which was impressive. Green Bay squeeked by Philly, despite only having #4 on offense. Packers get someone to help #4 on offense, then the Packers are gonna be tough. Minnesota had an impressive rookie performance from Peterson but that was also against the Falcons. Atlanta is going to be one of the worst teams this year. Wonder how Michigan fans would feel seeing Chad Henne in a Falcons jersey next year. Scary huh?

    RWN: Season Kickoff Party

don't forget my girl Annie as well. It was really her idea to string a party together. What do you think about having one at Mr. B's Spectadium in Troy??
  4. in true lions fashion, they blow the 17 pt lead. Not liking the Lions chances in the last few minutes of this game.

    RWN: Season Kickoff Party

    ok...one in, one out....anyone else??
  6. I like the spread offense of the Lions today. Roy, Calvin, Mike all making big catches. Too bad this team can't run still.

I am in total shock. I am a Spartan fan and even I thought that Michigan was the team to beat and have a very good chance at the National Championship. I honestly right now am wondering if my school Eastern Michigan has a shot against Big Blue in a few weeks. Why noy!?!?!

    The Big Ten Network

I actually like the BTN. Great coverage on the Big Ten Conference. Good play-by-play guys/anaylists too. I felt like sometimes the ESPN guys(and girls) were just mailing it in.

    Next QB for Lions?

correct. That's why I would sign Leftwich for only 1 year.

Oregon runs a very similar offense to Appy State's. Michigan is playing for respect tho. I'll take Michigan later today.

    ...CANES New Jersey

not surprising. Check out Eric Staal on the cover of NHL 08. They have been coming out with that design for months now.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Nebraska's convincing win over a very good Tennessee team combined with Michigan's narrow victory against WSU opened the door a crack to have a split championship. Anyway..there is no need for a debate here. All I did was state a fact. Michigan is CO-NATIONAL CHAMPIONS in 1997, not NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. THAT IS A FACT!! Debate it all you want in another thread....this thread is about Michigan's future.

still way too early. Michigan losses to Oregon...then you won't be able to say that.

Michigan barely beat #8 Washington State 21-16 in the Rose Bowl while #2 Nebraska beat #3 Tennessee 42-17...thats why Michigan lost votes. Not sure tho about dropping them all the way from 1st to 6th tho...gonna have to see a source on that one. after ND's performance against Ga Tech tho, the irish have serious problems. Michigan destoryed ND last year so I dont see where the ND nut kicking comes in.

And it had nothing to do with his team going undefeated, beating #3 Tennessee in the Orange Bowl compared to Michigan barely sneaking by #8 Washington State in the Rose Bowl. People forget that Florida State was also undefeated heading into their last season game before Florida ended their chances. If the Seminoles would have won, Michigan wouldn't even get a share of the title...regardless of the outcome of the Rose Bowl.

you had good years and bad years in the Gary Moeller era before Carr. Yes, Moeller got you to the Rose Bowl and won but Michigan also went to the Hall of Fame and Holiday Bowl. I think what kills a lot of Michigan fans is Carr's Bowl record..5-7 overall but 1-5 last 6 years, only winning the Outback Bowl against Florida in 2002. Carr hasn't won a Rose Bowl since 1997 against Washington State too. Combine that with Carr's record vs Tressel and its clear to see that Michigan is not the top program in the Big Ten currently.

List of Div. 1 NCAA Football Champions 1997 was a CO-National Championship shared with Nebraska. Last time Michigan was the National Champion was 1948.
