ok got my work schedule from now til the 27th. Not looking good for any party for me. I am home most weekdays at 8 which isnt too bad for the calgary games but the weekend games are no good for me. Work this weekend and next one.

Will make it even more special if the wings make it far in the playoffs. ESPN and the rest of the hockey world media has every right to say the wings could choke in the first round. Since 02, the wings have been a good REGULAR season team, falling in the playoffs way before they should have. Wings need to show them something in order for them to take them as serious cup contenders.

every year its the same panic attack. "WHAT??!?! NO FSN Detroit". FSN Detroit has the rights to broadcast local coverage (Ken and Mickey doing the game locally) for rounds 1 and 2. The only time when FSN Detroit doesnt cover the games is when its on National TV, like game 2 is. Also FOX2 in Detroit I think can broadcast one game on their channel each round. Someone might have to look that up for me. But they still use Ken and Mickey and the rest of the FSN Detroit crew.

i get two weekdays off and have to work the weekends so its not that i am unavailable..but they give me friday nights off which i love so that is nice. Lets figure this out once the schedule is released.

I have done something similar with 6 forwards, 4 defenseman, and 2 goalies for a 12 man team. I wouldnt mind doing something this year.

Ok. Probably going to get some hell for this post but what the heck..here it goes. I woke up this morning and thought of something today. The Red Wings NEED the president's trophy. Here is why: #1 Don't want to play Dallas or San Jose. Don't these teams look like the Oilers of 2005 or the Ducks of 2004. If the Wings end up with the 4th seed, they will be out in round one. #2 Need the home ice over Buffalo. The sabres are probably the best team in the nhl and if they make it to the cup finals and play the red wings, they will win...unless we have home ice. #3 THREE-PEAT. Now...doesn't that sound nice to say that the past 3 seasons (lockout excluded of course) the Red Wings have been the best team in the regular season. #4 At least we won something. Let's face it. The Red Wings don't have a playoff calibar team and if we win the president's trophy, we can say that the season is a success and that we won something, that we can put another banner up on the rafters. #5 Red Wings have enough Stanley Cups. Detroit has 10 cups, double the size of the next American city in Boston. Let someone else win it. Like I said, probably get some hell for this put what the heck. There is the post. Anyone feel the same way? Any thoughts, comments??
